I listened to the interview with Tallink’s CEO at the Port of Helsinki. The CEO was thrilled about full ships. Good to hear, but a concerning detail came up in a subordinate clause. Tallink’s fuel costs have risen by 40%, and these can only partially be passed on to ticket prices. To me, this “smelled” like a profit warning. I can’t say whether this could pose a threat to dividend payment capacity. If not, then nice dividends ahead. In particular, the fact that all fuel is purchased on the spot market was concerning.

“The Group’s unaudited net profit for the third quarter of 2026 amounted to EUR 43.8 million, or EUR 0.059 per share compared to a net profit of EUR 40.8 million, or EUR 0.055 per share in the third quarter 2025.”

Earnings grew and indebtedness decreased.
