Markus’s tweet expresses that the bottleneck for AI computing is energy, meaning that new high-power capacity is unlikely to be brought onto the grid before 2030, even if hyperscalers build it themselves (incl. nuclear power).
The scarcest resource is grid-connected electricity, and that is why Iren is apparently Markus’s “favorite,” and he contemplates that it is also a potential partner for the Seven and/or other major players.
