If you want to go down in history, you should be active in Coffee Room part 7.
Internet archaeologists will use this as research material when investigating what drove the Finnish retail public to baghold the S&P 500 at 4100 points.
I think floorball is much more entertaining to watch than ice hockey. Ice hockey looks somewhat boring in the sense that nothing really stands out, especially the goals, because the puck is so small and hard to see. Floorball, on the other hand, has really great goals and impressive-looking ball trajectories. Despite everything, football is of course the king of sports.
After six months of mulling it over and researching, I ended up ordering an Xbox Series X for 509e, mostly out of necessity with summer holidays coming up and the old generation starting to run out of content. As always with purchases pricier than a kebab, buyer’s remorse flooded in immediately after payment; how could I waste money, is this really necessary, couldn’t I have managed without? This is going to look terrible in my financial management Excel!
If you take a bit of perspective, the matter is trivial. My savings rate drops from 50% to 30% for one month, and in return, I get another half-dozen years of an entertainment outlet that likely saves me money net, because I’ll have something else to do besides fiddling with my portfolio. And why is it that if I buy a company on a whim for ten times the amount, having researched it not even a tenth as much as this, I don’t feel any guilt at all? The human mind is strange.
Weekends are incredibly boring when you can’t follow the prices—which you shouldn’t be tracking day in, day out and hour by hour in the first place. Have any of you bought anything from the Asian markets for this reason? Just so you can stare at the charts in a trance, even though you shouldn’t and even though they’re only heading straight down.
Quite a fun and interesting story about Roni, who has received attention from the football world. No paywall.
VPS’s super talent Roni Hudd, 18, was startled in the middle of a math class at Vaasa Lyceum High School by a tap on the shoulder from a classmate. The schoolmate had been browsing the internationally popular football website Transfermarkt, where startling information was found on a wintry Monday in January.
Hudd, solving equations at the adjacent desk, had risen to third place on the site’s list of most-searched players, leaving behind living megastars of the sport such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Ahead of Hudd, in second place, was João Félix, who currently represents Chelsea and for whom Atletico Madrid paid a transfer fee of 126 million euros in 2019.
In April, consumer prices were pushed up the most year-on-year by the rise in average mortgage rates, electricity prices, and consumer credit interest rates.
Well… how is inflation curbed? Oh right, by raising mortgage rates and consumer credit interest rates.
