Harvia at least congratulated the KAJ band on Instagram

I want to be a spoilsport now, but could this Eurovision discussion be continued in the staff room? Kai might have a tiny impact on future cash flows, but not as big as the attention given to the matter in Haarum now ![]()
I haven’t seen such a notice in Harvia’s online store before. Business is booming ![]()

I follow the r/Sauna group on Reddit quite actively and have noticed that the sauna brand Homecraft has become more common in discussions, and its heaters have also started appearing more and more in the pictures published there. I checked and there didn’t seem to be any mention of this competitor here. It’s a Canadian family business that focuses on selling sauna heaters and saunas in North America. Their product range also includes Narvi and Harvia heaters, though only wood-fired ones and 2 models from each manufacturer, while their own offering is naturally much more comprehensive. The company has been operating for over 30 years. This is just a nice-to-know piece of information; I didn’t find any figures for the company, so it’s difficult to start comparing.
I see competitors of this type as a really positive thing; this company also publishes blogs, appears on podcasts, and attends sauna events, aiming to spread the good news and awareness of sauna bathing, which also helps Harvia’s sales.
More information here:
Indeed, the Bara Bada Bastu phenomenon brings visibility to sauna bathing and opens up discussion about new ideas. Just now, MTV3’s ‘after five’ broadcast had a long segment about sauna bathing, etc. They stated that Finland should market sauna bathing better, also in tourism.
Now, ski resorts should just get proper sauna worlds with large outdoor swimming pools, etc. Watch that segment if it can be found on Katsomo.
Indeed, Harvia can also grow significantly in Europe, as long as the benefits of sauna bathing are highlighted more systematically. Now that Germany is waking up from its slumber and penny-pinching, business will also pick up there. ![]()
This is awesome ![]()

As someone might have already written, are we trying to limit these Eurovision/KAJ ramblings on Harvia’s investment forum? Whether that one Eurovision song is 1st or 13th on the charts doesn’t really matter for a listed company the size of Harvia.
That song and its popularity is a nice observation, but if the thread turns into following the band’s success, then we are quite far from the thread’s original purpose.
Thank you and sorry.
According to this article, one might quickly disagree on how well Harvia’s growth in the USA will continue in the near future:
The less fortunate haven’t had money for saunas even until now, and the sharp drop in stock prices will close the money taps for the wealthiest. In Europe, money is being used for armament, etc. This doesn’t look good in my opinion.
Besides, growth in that part of the world has been so strong that the first enthusiasts have probably already acquired their saunas.
Surely, for goodness sake, European consumers aren’t buying those weapons for themselves?
Demand in Europe has been quite sluggish. Is it possible that “pent-up demand” is accumulating? Traditionally, demand has been quite stable; now the situation has become a bit more cyclical.
PS. Harvia’s annual report has been published, I’m currently browsing through it.
Well, of course not. But for example, in Finland, if defense appropriations have to be significantly increased, it comes at the expense of something else. Then, if consumption needs to be cut, it’s quite quickly, for example, the sauna rather than food and medicine. And the more one reads about things, the more confusing the situation in the USA becomes. IF growth in the USA were to stop, would there be enough growth elsewhere to justify Harvia’s current price? I’m just looking for those risks here now, so that the discussion isn’t just about the wonderfulness of sauna. And yes, I also like to go to the sauna, and I have a Harvia wood-fired Legend at home.
David Ahonen, Harvia’s Director for Asia, Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, has sold 7,000 shares of the Muurame-based listed company.
He still has over 92,000 shares left in his portfolio.
Shares out of one pocket and into another.
Recently, on Yle’s regional news on TV1, Päivi Juolahti from Harvia was commenting on the Bara Bada Bastu phenomenon.
Harvia and the Central Finnish sauna association Sauna From Finland are seeking visibility for sauna bathing, perhaps even in Basel, Switzerland, in connection with the Eurovision Song Contest.
Juolahti was excited, and they are taking the matter seriously from a marketing perspective, as they should. This KAJ’s activity and visibility is no small matter. The program was at 9:53 PM on TV1 Yle Uutiset Uutis-Suomi, it might be found on Areena…
Edit, from the 4:40 mark
Danske Bank published its updated view on Harvia. The recommendation remains at BUY, the target price rises to EUR 53.00 (previous: EUR 52.00). ![]()

An article produced by Yle (+ news recording) on the same topic also seemed to be available. ![]()
Sweden’s Eurovision song is perhaps the best thing for the sauna business in a long time – sauna viewing parties are being planned worldwide
The popularity of Sweden’s Eurovision song is also boosting the reputation of saunas worldwide. Finnish companies want to leverage the phenomenon for business.
Päivi Juolahti, Marketing and Brand Director at Harvia, a manufacturer of sauna heaters and saunas, is pleased that Sweden’s Eurovision song has raised awareness of saunas and sauna bathing outside Finland.
Sauna from Finland, a business network founded 15 years ago in Central Finland, has received numerous inquiries since the Vöyri-based band KAJ won Sweden’s Eurovision qualifiers.
The messages urge the network to market the Finnish sauna with full force now.
