Etteplan announced that it is initiating change negotiations in its Software and Embedded Solutions service area in Finland. The negotiations cover 336 employees and could lead to a maximum of 40 redundancies and a maximum of 30 temporary layoffs. The measures are driven by a weak market situation and structural changes brought about by AI. The news is not a big surprise considering the service area’s recent weak performance, but the structural changes brought by AI are long-lasting and raise concerns.
