I could use a little help. As a little boy, I wanted to become an investment guru, and about 40 years ago, I bought one Huhtamäki share with my weekly allowance for 20 Finnish marks plus 10 Finnish marks in subscription fees. I recall that at some point, one could re-subscribe to it, but I didn’t know what to do. I’ve had that share certificate stored for years, but now I can’t find it. Is there some register, or is it now water under the bridge?
I’m surprised you haven’t received an answer to your question.
I believe this: You must invalidate your shares in an official announcement.
After that, you have to wait for a while, and then you can get a new share in its place.
This is roughly how it works in a housing company, at least.
I know this because my mother once lost the papers for one of these shares.
The old ownership registries are stored at the limited company.
Thanks. I’ll find out how to do that.
At least with housing shares this way… if it hasn’t changed in the last twenty years.
Thanks. Can you tell me roughly what issue number?
I have shares in Mash Group, which went bankrupt over 1.5 years ago. Not many, but 200 shares, purchased for about €3500.
How do I deal with these to realize the loss from the sales?
They were originally bought through Privanet, which has also disappeared.
I would be grateful for any information on how to proceed and possibly offset the loss against capital gains.
How do you believe Fortum’s stock price will develop in the next couple of weeks? If electricity prices rise, is Fortum’s stock likely to fall? Could some kind of hypothetical option model be built in relation to this?
I’m looking at the “Stock Comparison” section in the Premium service. Where can I find the instructions for reading that table? What does “potential” mean (e.g., -62 for one company and 35 for another)? What about “risk level” (is 4 riskier than 3)? What do “Categories” mean (e.g., Corporate Customers)?
Does anyone know if it’s possible to buy Terrafame shares anywhere? At least I haven’t found them on OP’s or Nordnet’s websites.
Electropiss is paying almost a dividend for the year 2022..
What are your thoughts on investing in Sweden at the moment? Could the low valuation of the krona provide benefits in the long run?
Which fund would you personally invest in? Spiltan Aktiefond Investmentbolag has low fees and has interested me for some time. Opinions?
Hi, new investor here so also new to the forum. I couldn’t find a better place or way to start a new discussion here, so let’s revive an old one. To start, why should Viaplay Group interest all of us. My investment career started after years of intending to, when I discussed the topic with an investor at work, and somehow Viaplay Group came up, whose value is not currently soaring. My opinion at the time, without much background research, was that it’s a company of such a size that someone will either buy it or it will start to rise, meaning it’s a long-term “risk investment” and sounds like my kind of investing. From there, I went from words to action and opened a stock portfolio.
On 13.11, an announcement came that Viaplay Group had acquired the rest of Allante Group and apparently aims for an even larger market share with this.
This leads to my question: is anyone else in the same rabbit hole with Viaplay, and explosive enrichment is just around the corner, or can someone give a good reason why now is not the right time to buy Viaplay?
