That word “toxicity” sounds off to my ear, as on paper at least, solein is an excellent protein for human consumption (amino acids, cholesterol-free, doesn’t contain any of the most common food allergens + much more).

Did you look at the link I shared? I didn’t make up the toxicity part; EFSA wants to see documentation regarding, among other things, toxicity.
