Yes, Toyota’s second generation of software-defined vehicles (SDVs) will enter production in the summer of 2027. Smart Eye has very likely been named as the Tier-1 supplier for DMS (Driver Monitoring System) and as a Tier-2 supplier for other cabin monitoring for the first two models, possibly as an optional feature, given that the value was significantly smaller than the DMS. In the Q1 earnings call, Martin answered a follower’s questions regarding Toyota, stating that Toyota has several different programs and that it offers them opportunities to be involved in many ways. Yesterday, a stock exchange release was issued regarding a display-integrated DMS camera with Visteon.

Visteon has been busy and has been presenting the solution to many partners in Europe in addition to trade fairs.
