Now, looking at the YTD situation, the directed share issue, and the stock’s recovery after the issue, it really seems like institutions sold off their shares at a better price, knowing that an issue was coming and they would be able to participate in it. The selling pressure immediately stopped after the issue, and now positions are being accumulated again.
Now, what’s needed is the expected opening of ATG and Norsk Tipping, and one big new contract, to get us back on the right track.
The Premier League starts on Friday. The 1M season is nicely filling up compared to last season. ATG is conspicuously absent? (At least I didn’t notice anything on the pages) According to the announcement, this was supposed to be launched with a big marketing campaign.
We’ll see what the next few days bring or if they bring anything.
I can’t find anything on Norsk Tipping’s website either, at least nothing caught my eye. I don’t remember if we were supposed to start with the Premier League or generally in the fall. At this point, it’s already too late to launch the Premier League in season mode; campaigns should have started a few weeks prior. Of course, daily fantasy sports can be introduced mid-season.
The NK itself is clear. It needs to go live with the minister’s signature. Nobody knows how long it will take for the pen to move.
I personally expected ATG for that season. It would have been an excellent launch location.
Otherwise, there seems to be good marketing buzz around the flagship brand, and with the cash from the share issue, there are another 2-4 carefree quarters ahead.
Champions League fantasy significantly exceeded the guarantee and is almost full. The stock price is finally moving in the right direction after a tough drop following the earnings report.
Edit. A last-minute 10% rise with seemingly non-existent trading volume.
An interesting ending to this interview video. CCO Joakim says that the goal in five years is to 1. Grow >5x, 2. Become the world’s largest b2b fantasy provider, 3. Sell sportsbook to Fantasy customers as well.
This company is becoming an acquisition target for some big player. Kambi, at least, could buy out a competitor. Perhaps Evo at some point when more growth is sought…
But what risks do you see in that sportsbook strategy?
We are pleased to announce the release of Fantasy Golf on the Scout Gaming Network. Golf has grown into one of the largest and most popular fantasy sports, largely due to how well it lends itself to the fantasy format.
