Remedy - The pride of Finnish AAA games (Part 2)

Steam is a very important part of the business of FBC: Firebreak. The Steam CCU is a very easy statistic to dig up, but it isn’t everything.

It’s true that Steam CCU isn’t everything, but saying Steam is an important part of Firebreak’s business is blatantly incorrect. Nobody even plays that game on Steam anymore, and we’re well on our way down Concord’s path to zero players:

On Steam, we’ve already dropped to double-digit player counts, and next, we get to see if we’ll drop to single-digit daily player counts during July:

Then, it’s pretty clear that players from subscription services tend to stick around for shorter periods than those who purchased the game, but it’s also easier for them to return. There is a good number of new players coming in every day on consoles.

Players who bought the game have already disappeared from the servers, and according to Puha, there has also been a significant decline in players from subscription services, although we don’t have public statistics on that. Now Remedy is praying that these lapsed players will return with updates in three or six months and spend money on in-game cosmetics at the same time. This strongly looks like an official statement given out of duty, which only the most hardcore Remedy fanboys (Remedybullerot) still believe.

The classic meme from 2022 still holds true:
