Should I be worried?

This kind of TV format-style thread has been missing from this forum, so let’s start one now. The content can be broad, ranging from minor worries to fears of a global stock market crash.
Every forum regular can post at least one concern here.

Let’s start with a minor concern: Should we be worried when nowadays Uncle Masse only dares to give a thumbs-up to other people’s posts after Verneri has already given a thumbs-up?

I’m a little concerned about this cycle turning and what it might lead to. I’ve unwound my debt leverage now for the first time in probably 3-4 years and also increased my pure cash position, plus a little gold. Cash and gold account for about 10% of my portfolio.

Inventory levels rising, interest rates rising, taxi drivers giving stock market tips, “windbreaker” apartment investors with their interest-only housing company loans, etc…

If there’s some crazy surge as a result of Trump+Xi negotiations, I might lighten my holdings further and add a little more cash.

Should I be worried that Inderes hasn’t released inderesPod or Heikkilä&Vilen this Friday? Maybe it’s just due to Christmas parties? Are they making support purchases for Restamax?

The latest HV Show was just a week ago at the fair.

Erno stayed at the office to tinker with mixing the pod when I left, so I guess it’ll show up later tonight =)

Dear Aston: There’s no need to worry if the HV show doesn’t appear every single week. As Brother Verner’s response indicates, the boys are diligent and very busy. But:

Should we be worried that for so many people on the forum (including Masse), nothing else comes to mind, not even on Friday evening, except the next topic and timing of the HV show?

Good thread!
“Should we be worried?”

Many concerns come to mind, but the most acute one is whether the forum has some nasty cyber vulnerability. It seems that strange messages have been posted on the site in the names of several regular contributors. Does anyone else feel this way?

Yeah. The writers’ opinions are too weird

 You can have whatever opinion you want, but today I snorted my long drink out through my nose when I read the so-called Mikael’s comment about the cautious purchase of F-Secure  Trolls should at least have some credibility

What? It was Mikael’s comment.

Was it? Unbelievable! I’ve watched and enjoyed all of Mikael’s podcasts and appearances over the past year, and I was under the impression that F-S has been bought for my and my child’s portfolio for a long time.
Well, I guess I’ll have to rearrange these messages and bits of information in my mind.
Sigh. I really didn’t think I was completely out of touch, but I guess I am after all :frowning: Paranoid or something…

I’m worried that old Uncle Brutus has a hangover after the Christmas party. Doesn’t old Uncle Brutus have money to fix his hangover? Has old Uncle Brutus invested all his money in something other than well-being?

Sorry for trolling

Should I be concerned about Martela’s CEO’s answers in ROAST:

  • Nine out of ten answers begin with: “So, this new strategy of ours…”

  • When asked about his modest ownership in the company: “We have these purchase windows, etc.” and the guy has been CEO for three years…

My own answer: No need to worry…unless you happen to own that particular stock.

I noticed the same thing. It wasn’t a very confidence-inspiring interview, and concreteness was conspicuously absent. Rantaniemi, however, should probably be concerned about Q4 sales, as he emphasized in the interview that investors should no longer be subjected to unpleasant surprises - a January profit warning would be exactly that.

Points, however, for daring to come to the Roast at all.

It’s really not my intention to boast about Martela’s situation, but precisely the concreteness was missing.
It’s true that it’s not a delicious situation to be roasted with that recent track record.
I personally see it a bit like this: if an invitation to a ROAST comes, it would be good to go if you intend to regain investors’ trust.

However, Inderes would probably not disclose a refusal.

You always have to be worried if an investment doesn’t have a moat…

Should one be worried when the Prime Minister ponders Brexit like this…?

I guess it’s that popular reciprocity. I myself only like things when I’m in a mental state, of which there seem to have been a few

I’m actually worried about @Masse.

Question for the old man: How much liquidity and, on the other hand, how old do you have to be in your portfolio to try to join the aristocratic club? And if you ever become a noble, do you get to speak in the 3rd person as well?

I have a question, but I couldn’t figure out which thread to write it in
So I’ll phrase it here
Should I be worried that I don’t know where to see the biggest selling and buying brokers per share for longer than a day? Sometimes I’d be interested to see, for example, if anons have been behind a selling wave lasting weeks, or similar situations.
Feel free to answer my “should I be worried” question and my actual question :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey Stetson,

I’ll answer the latter part, “where to look.” Do you have a specific stock in mind?

The “mäklarstatistik” (brokerage statistics) on trader.di.se helps track activity over 1 month and 1 year cumulatively. Here are some links I have saved in my Excel:

You can search for other companies here, for example, by selecting “Helsingfors” from the list: Bygg portföljer och bevaka dina aktier, fonder och värdepapper - Di Portfölj → From there, grab the company’s “number” from the URL bar and replace the number in the links above (e.g., Amer Sports is 82).

NOTE: Alla värden i mäklarstatistiktabellen presenteras i EUR. → All figures presented in the brokerage statistics table are in EURO.

P.S. I’m not sure if larger institutional sales appear here (for Hoivatilat, for example, Partnera’s sale isn’t visible? Bygg portföljer och bevaka dina aktier, fonder och värdepapper - Di Portfölj)
