I have started becoming pessimistic about this because the average consumer cares about preventative healthcare… well, not at all. Modern consumers want fast food delivered to their door via Wolt.
Additionally, another problem here is, for example, Nordic bureaucracy regarding new research related to biology and nutrition. Here, red meat and fat are considered the worst possible evil, while ultra-processed “treats” are totally fine. Globally, research is heading in a different direction. Nowadays, there are fantastic content creators who share their findings on YouTube, on X, like Nick Norwitz, who provides up-to-date weekly updates. It takes 10 years for those new findings to make it into official guidelines and, consequently, into Nightingale’s instructions as well.
And what if they finally do? The average Joe (Pertti) doesn’t care until the damage is already done.
For now, I’m holding onto the shares. I’ve thought about getting the test done once or twice a year myself. But the previous results left me feeling a bit underwhelmed regarding the data/report. Perhaps also because there was nothing alarming in them…
