I wonder if there are companies in this industry listed on European stock exchanges? The domestic social and healthcare sector, and even Sitra, seems to be slowly waking up to this. Puhti does something similar, but it’s owned by Mehiläinen, so it’s not publicly traded. Novo might be somewhat in that direction, but it’s a pharmaceutical company. I’m mainly looking for lab/imaging technology companies or other technology companies, rather than those developing/using pharmaceuticals. According to an article from a year ago, the global market for purely preventative “screening and chemotherapy” would grow from $250 billion to $600 billion by 2032. Preventative healthcare market expected to hit US$605.3 billion by 2032
You can find it right on the domestic stock exchange:
True enough, I’ve overlooked this. Does this still reek too much of Theranos…
It’s not scientifically sound. Whether it can be grown into an international major corporation, measured in monetary terms, is of course a different question.
I don’t know if Synlab AG would fit here, I need to look into it.
The topic can be approached from many angles. After all, everyone knows what should be done: avoid intoxicants, eat vegetables, exercise, and sleep well. Easier said than done. People are willing to pay for all sorts of services, as long as they don’t have to do anything themselves.
I understand this isn’t quite what the original poster is looking for, but I’ll throw in my 5 cents and suggest Supplement companies. With a low valuation (inflation has hit these hard) on the stock market, Midsona and New Nordic Healthbrands…
