Nexstim - To World Domination with Brain Stimulation

Right now, things are very much being viewed through negative-tinted glasses, and regarding the deal in this latest press release, the rationale for why acquiring a new device was necessary has been highlighted. That is, the old device is unreliable and even after repairs, the uncertainty would perhaps continue. There doesn’t seem to be any information anywhere on how old this old “clunker” actually is. Yet, some have interpreted this as if Nexstim’s devices have some major reliability issue. What we’re most likely looking at is simply a technical device reaching the end of its lifespan, which is a completely normal part of the lifecycle. Personally, I see it as a positive that older devices are considered business-critical, which enables a faster procurement process compared to acquiring an entirely new type of machine. From a business perspective, it makes great sense and is very sound that hardware has a lifecycle, after which a new buzzer is needed. This is how all successful equipment brands operate, and I’m more than satisfied that this feature also applies to our devices. The replacement of old devices will soon start picking up pace, with new ones also being delivered on top of that, and here 1+1 is more than two.
