When it comes to implant placement, I suppose it’s also about who can be the most precise, and in my opinion, Nexstim is quite good at this. Add Bittium’s EEG to the mix. If there’s a race in BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) right now and accuracy is what’s desired—why couldn’t it be Nexstim if they do it best?
This emergence of BCI is certainly going to require a lot of research equipment, and even more once products are commercialized.
Right now, Nexstim’s sales are counted in the tens, and there are quite a few hospitals in the world. I wouldn’t see BCI as an insignificant matter at all, provided that Nexstim’s device is well-suited for it.
