Deep brain stimulation is a different technology than TMS. In DBS, an electrode is implanted directly into the brain, and through it, electricity is delivered directly to a brain region, reaching deeper than with TMS.
The “penetration depth” of TMS is usually a few centimeters (based on a Google search, 3-4cm with Nexstim’s device. No absolute certainty on this), but the treatment is not invasive like DBS.
