What do you have in your portfolio?

Thanks for the observation! There was indeed a bug in the Excel formula. The portfolio has indeed grown by over 10% and new money has been invested into the portfolio by around 2%.

Goal is to diversify into 15 companies and 7 Nordea funds as a savings insurance. Weekly grocery money in my wallet!
Companies:
Admicom, Aspocomp, Basware, Bittium, Caverion, Hoivatilat (still), Kone, Leaddesk, Ahlström-Munksjö, Nordea, Optomed, Orion, Revenio, Sampo, Valmet,

Nordea 20.1%
Sampo 17.9%
Nokia 16.5%
Nokian Tyres 15.7%
Oriola 11.2%
Neste 9.3%
Basware 5.5%
Glaston 3.6%

Looking at the portfolio’s content and its changes compared to earlier, I feel that my investment strategy could be clearer. Sampo and Nordea, intended to generate dividend income for the portfolio, haven’t given much cause for celebration. I don’t even want to start with Nokia, although I did buy more when it started to rise after hitting its (so far) bottom. With Nokian Tyres, the idea is to wait patiently. I plan to add more Neste as the buying program becomes clearer. I’ve kept the proportion of small companies low, but the idea is to gradually increase their share in the portfolio. However, this is what I started the year with.

I can’t really specify the cash position because the portfolio’s growth is currently based on a fairly fixed monthly amount from income. I do have some extra cash on the side if there’s a significant dip, but time will tell if I have the nerve to deploy the war chest when the opportunity eventually arises.

In my OST portfolio, I have the following stocks, all bought with roughly the same amount:
Kamux Corporation
Kemira Oyj
Marimekko Corporation
Neste Corporation
NoHo Partners Oyj
Siili Solutions Oyj
Vincit Oyj

Many of them have already risen quite a bit since the beginning of the year. If I were to add more of any of them right now, it would be Neste, Kemira, and Vincit. Neste and Kemira still have room to rise according to Inderes’ target price and both are also highly rated companies in sijoittaja.fi’s stock tool. Vincit, on the other hand, is a megatrend company and also has room to rise based on Inderes’ target price (it has seen a slight decline this year). Oh, and they all pay a decent dividend.

I made my first direct stock investments in Nordea at the end of November. Originally, I had envisioned DCA-style index investing, and I didn’t intend to buy much else to go with Nordea. Plans changed quite radically and quickly. Nordea also left my portfolio last week.

By December 5th, I had invested about half a year’s salary in stocks in a couple of weeks. From 0-100 pretty rapidly, but I didn’t dare to be out (Youtube). I didn’t dare to invest in S&P 500, nor really in bonds, so this is the result. Almost 100% in stocks right now

Atria
Remedy
Robit
Nokia
Rovio
Tokmanni
Kamux
Sievi
Sampo
FTSE 100
MSCI China
NoHo

In addition, a small portion of various DM indexes. The intention is to gradually increase their share.

All listed are pretty much equally weighted at the moment. ETFs and NoHo with a slightly smaller weight. Atria is almost double, as I couldn’t resist the temptation to lower the KH on December 2nd. I would have more NoHo if Inderes hadn’t stopped a promising descent a couple of points too early. Then I came here to see what ruined my investments!

Well, at least I found Remedy. I had rejected it on my own, but I changed my mind and bought it on the 23rd :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

With this portfolio until 2020. In order of magnitude:

  1. Remedy
  2. Capman
  3. Harvia
  4. HKScan
  5. Qt
  6. Herantis
  7. Hive Blockchain

I started active direct stock investing in 2018, which was mostly about learning the ropes and chasing quick gains, for example, with Nokia warrants. That didn’t go well, and the portfolio was -38% in 2018.

At the end of 2018/beginning of 2019, I then cleaned up the portfolio and significantly reduced playing with warrants (a couple of slips still happened and ended badly again :D), and the total return for the portfolio in 2019 was a nice 48% plus. The only significant negative for the year came with Nokia.

I’ve learned a lot in a couple of years, and patience is perhaps the biggest lesson I’ve taken away. And that it’s not worth playing with warrants just in hopes of quick gains  Let’s see what 2020 brings.

In the portfolio update for early 2020, I’ve largely ridden the same horses as in the last quarter of 2019. However, I have strived to concentrate my portfolio more around companies where I believe there is significant long-term potential, for example, supported by megatrends, and where the companies’ strategies are aligned with their figures and actions. My cash position grew after Hoivatilat’s tender offer was completed, and by lightening some company-specific positions or entirely selling smaller positions. My own time for monitoring is already limited due to work, so by roughly focusing on closer monitoring of about 15 companies, I can react faster to changes and stay better informed about their businesses. However, I am quite satisfied with the current portfolio composition and the size of my cash position. The portfolio summary looks like this:

Good luck and success to all forum members in 2020, and remember to make good investment decisions!

The portfolio still has a large weight in Nordea and Glaston, and I intend to seek some kind of rebalancing. Only Glaston is in the red, along with the lottery ticket Wirecard. There is still room for adjustment in terms of risk and weighting. I could lighten up on forest companies. Large industrial companies on the Helsinki stock exchange are too heavily weighted. I’ve also been investing in the index at a steady pace, so its proportional share has grown. Currently, investments are 75% and cash 25%. No new purchases are in sight. We’ll see towards spring.

Just started getting familiar with the wonderful world of stock investing and opened an account with Nordnet.

Now I’ve made my first purchases and will gradually learn more about this.
My investing hobby started with the following stocks:

Qt Group
Kamux
Neste
Sampo

The plan is to start diversifying into index funds or ETFs later, but for the first few months, I thought I’d take advantage of Nordnet’s three-euro trading fees for stocks to diversify my portfolio at a relatively low cost.

I intend to hold Qt, Kamux, and Neste for at least a few years and look for good buying opportunities for them as I accumulate more money to invest. A couple of other stocks are still on my shopping list, but I want to keep this portfolio relatively small because I’m 26 and the stakes are small, so the risk-return ratio can be on the larger side.

On the OST side, the plan is to gradually collect dividend stocks with a very long-term horizon (30-40 years). I bought a small amount of Sampo for this account initially. I’ll be looking at small purchases for this account, for example, every six months. The goal is to build a diversified dividend portfolio that can grow with compound interest over the years.

Earlier this year, I started exploring the world of investing and gradually bought my first stocks and invested in funds. The goal is to move cautiously and invest extra money now and then. I try to follow the old wisdom: don’t invest a sum you’re not prepared to lose. So, at no point do I intend to risk my personal finances. The intention is to invest in both funds and stocks.

Funds:

Nordnet Smart 15
Nordnet Superfund Finland
Nordnet Superfund Sweden
Nordnet Superfund Norway
Nordnet Superfund Denmark
Evli Finland Small Cap B
Handelsbanken USA Index
Handelsbanken America Small Cap Theme A1 EUR
Skagen Global A
Spiltan Aktiefond Investmentbolag (Spiltan Equity Fund Investment Companies)

Stocks:

Terveystalo
Next Games

The goal is to diversify the stock portfolio over time into at least 10 different company stocks. With patience, with patience.

5k behind. Mistakes made thoroughly and carefully. Do I really have to make all the mistakes ?
Still, luckily, still a little in the black. Also visited America and returned. Portfolio has been churned and now contains the following.

Glaston… the waiting time hasn’t been long yet

Harvia… Bought a company under 7€ that grows calmly and doesn’t rocket

Vincit… Trend company on its way to six

Nordic ID… Conquering hotels with MGI.

Faron Pharmaceuticals… At least the money goes to a good cause.

Nextim… Was it really necessary to buy this  it might be. At least I think so.

As you can probably tell from the number, my investment career is still in its early stages. This year’s goal is to improve diversification by acquiring 3-5 new holdings and then focus on steadily growing the portfolio. Even though the time period has only been a few months, it’s nice to start with companies that have risen well recently

Portfolio Report 03/2020
An update to last week’s. It was the best week for my portfolio’s value development since I started centralized tracking of all brokers and portfolios at the beginning of September. The portfolio grew by just over two percent.

Things are so wild in the markets that I’m tempted to move more into cash. On Friday, I tried to figure out something to sell to increase my cash position, but I didn’t want to put anything up for sale after all. On the other hand, I already have a decent amount of cash, if buying opportunities through dips are coming. Stop losses have been activated for some holdings, and if they start hitting, the cash position will also increase.

Otherwise, the week went well, but Sensys Group left the portfolio due to a stop loss that was too tight. On the other hand, it didn’t run away anywhere, so I can get it back if I feel like it. On the plus side, the Finland weighting in the pension insurance portfolio seemed to hit the mark this week. For the coming week, I already lightened that Finland weighting a bit.

All purchases this week were quite small (0.3-1.3% of the portfolio), with the idea of practicing a bit of trading.

Week’s events:

  • Bought BEAR TESLA X3 NORDNET F @0.47 four times
  • Bought Vincit @4.97
  • Bought Dynacert @0.95
  • Bought ChromoGenics AB @0.475
  • Sold Sensys Gatso Group AB @1.39 (+2.0%)
  • Sold Nordnet Superrahasto Suomi (fund) (+7.4%)
  • Added Franklin Gold & Prec Mtls A (fund)
  • Added Nordnet Smart 15 (fund)
  • Adjusted weightings in the pension insurance account

Portfolio Update 04/2020

An update from a week ago. Last week was the best and the past week the worst in terms of portfolio value development relative to the index. However, the portfolio value remained fairly close to a week ago, as I added a few extra euros to the portfolio.

Minor sales at the beginning of the week, so the cash weighting of the portfolio increased, although I also bought a few speculative shares out of boredom. Also, in the pension insurance portfolio, about 40% has been shifted to bonds with the idea that indices might correct downwards a bit in the near future.

In honor of Veikkaus’s record lottery jackpot, I even got enthusiastic enough to buy a very small amount of Nasdaq 100 BEAR product on Friday evening. Another impulse buy on Friday evening was Elringklinger. This second “micro-purchase” was purely inspired by @DayTraderXL. We’ll follow the TA thread and hope it clarifies how to proceed with that in the future. :grinning:

Week’s events:

  • Bought BEAR TESLA X3 NORDNET F @0.32 a couple more times
  • Bought BEAR NQ100 X3 NORDNET F @1.56
  • Bought ElringKlinger @6.50
  • Bought QT Group @19.50
  • Reduced Remedy @13.52 (+33.9%)
  • Reduced Kamux @7.92 (+40.6%)
  • Reduced Wärtsilä @11.0 (+17.0%)
  • Sold Handelsbanken Kiina (fund) (+15.2%)
  • Sold Nordnet Superfonden Danmark (fund) (+10.8%)
  • Added Franklin Gold & Prec Mtls A (fund)
  • Added Nordnet Smart 15 (fund)
  • Adjusted weightings in the pension insurance portfolio
