What do you have in your portfolio?

I have (I think it’s 22 now) and I’m pretty well aware of them. However, there has been some narrowing down and concentration of stakes in certain companies.

The biggest ones now

  1. Talenom, by far
  2. Nokia, Revenio Group, QT
  3. Siltronic
  4. Kamux, Avidly, Nokian Tyres
Others include IT services (Digia, Gofore, Vincit), care facilities, Verkkokauppa.com, Ramirent, Glaston, finance (Capman), cybersecurity (F-Secure). Sanoma, Aspo, Efecte. A few small ones, Enersense (-50%), and I’ve bought a bit of Basware, it’s bleeding my hands :). There’s still a bit of Lehto, that’s also a kind of gamble.

To be honest, I have one pledged portfolio that contains Uponor, Martela, and Pihlajalinna, and mainly Nokia (but those, with the exception of Nokia, do not represent my view in that pledged portfolio). Then there’s still a tiny bit of Pantaflix.

I would estimate items 1-4 to account for approximately 70% of the shares, then there’s some in interest-bearing instruments and the rest is cash.

Someone might say it’s a stealth index, but for example, engineering companies are missing from there (except Glaston, where the smart glass is an interesting bonus). Some of those are small ones that don’t really matter much.

Here is the full content of my portfolio. I try to keep a relatively concentrated portfolio, and the intention is to hold a maximum of about 15 stocks, but the strategy can always change as one gets older.

Nokia 32.8%
Nordea 20.3%
Remedy 17.6%
Verkkokauppa.com 10.9%
Sampo 9.2%
Kamux 9.2%

These are at current value; surprisingly, for example, Verkkokauppa.com’s share is slightly larger based on the purchase price

The plan is to raise Kamux to around 20% as well, as soon as I have extra money and buying opportunities. At this rate, it might even go beyond the summer; the dividends from a mini-portfolio are hardly enough for that

Good thread!

Here’s mine at the moment:

Remedy 14.1%
Admicom 13.4%
Noho Partners 9.8%
Talenom 7.8%
Suomen Hoivatilat 6.6%
Kamux 6.5%
Qt 5.9%
Revenio Group 5.3%
Tencent 4.6%
Vincit 3.6%
Verkkokauppa 3.5%
Efecte 3.2%
Alibaba 1.4%

And of course, cash allocated to stock investments: 14.1%

There are a few “junk” stocks among them, but overall, I’m quite satisfied with the portfolio right now. I try to pick businesses for the portfolio that will be significantly more valuable in the long run than they are today. I try to keep the portfolio relatively focused and conviction-driven, but at the same time sufficiently diversified, as I realize that I sometimes make investment decisions against the best interest of the portfolio.

I’ll share my portfolio now too:

MCSI USA Index Fund 14.88%

SSAB 12.47%
OBX Index Fund 12.22%
Nordea 11.12%
Lehto 11.12%
Sievi Capital 4.81%

I prefer to hold a rather concentrated portfolio. Mainly Finnish stocks, but a few foreign ones have also found their way into the portfolio:

Nokian Renkaat 8.2%
Verkkokauppa 7.8%
Sampo 7.7%
Detection Technology 7.4%
Hoivatilat 7.4%
Activision Blizzard 7.4%
Kamux 7.3%
Nokia 6.6%
PagSeguro Digital 6.5%
eQ 5.2%
Nordnet Superfunds (Finland, Denmark, Norway) 3.5%

Cash 25%

I’ve caught a few falling knives (Kamux, Verkkokauppa, and Activision) earlier this year, but I’m not looking for additional purchases for now.

Here is the current situation, which has been quite stable recently.

My top 7, i.e., core investments, are intended to be held for a very long time, provided that the business develops as expected.

Among the smaller ones, Fellow Finance is the one in green, and Aallon Group is the one in yellow.

This is what my portfolio’s percentage allocations look like.

Realistically, with a trade position open, cash would be about 5% of the total, meaning a significant portion of that cash is waiting for a trade.

Compact seems to be the right word to describe my portfolio :joy:
I do have 5-10 stocks under observation, but I haven’t been enthusiastic about buying yet. Considering I started at the turn of the year, I’m trying to be patient now and accumulate cash.

Nokia 25%
Nokian Renkaat (Nokian Tyres) 23%

Admicom 84.76%
Fellow Finance 4.29%

Admicom has become a bit overweight, but I haven’t seen a reason to sell yet.

In my portfolio, age is already showing, meaning some investments have grown quite large over the years. My principle has been that unless I find it reasonable to sell a particular stock for some reason, I won’t liquidate them. I might not even reduce them, even though banks often recommend it. I always buy a company, never a company I consider bad in hopes of a price increase. The larger holdings are thus these very long-term ones, while the smaller ones are typical entry-level holdings, meaning I start small and gradually add more. The reason for this (gradual approach) is mainly that cash doesn’t stay as cash for long. I always find something to buy - from the stock market, that is. Of course, there have been situations where I’ve had to liquidate the portfolio (reluctantly), but on the other hand, that’s precisely why I chose stock saving instead of voluntary pension saving, so that the portfolio can be flexible in different life situations. The portfolio is a good friend

Largest holdings in the portfolio, total 60%
Kone, eQ, Sampo

Then there’s a pretty big drop, and the next ones are around 4% per company:
Nokia, Valmet, Olvi, Nordea

Slightly smaller, in the range of 2-3% per company:
Kemira, F-Secure, Fortum, Gilead Sciences, Citycon

Then small slices under 2%, the so-called entry group:
Novo Nordisk, Nokian Renkaat, Bayer, Roche, Nixu, LeadDesk, Wärtsilä, Verkkis, Raisio, Outotec, Bittium, Tokmanni, Remedy, YIT, Oriola

Largest holdings (10% either way): Talenom, Admicon, Nokian Renkaat, Suomen Hoivatilat, UPM, Nordea, and Apple

Mid-tier (around 5%): Revenio, Raute, Titanium, Alibaba, Fondia

“Entry” or otherwise smaller: Ponsse, Google, Facebook, Qt, Verkkokauppa, Tencent

Buying is a bit too easy for me, and selling is too difficult. Strong allocations have made it possible to beat the index. I’m too lazy and passive to always sell unnecessary “gauzes” (referring to minor, perhaps underperforming holdings), but on the other hand, with the same inactivity, I try to motivate myself to follow as diverse a range of interesting cases as possible.

As an amateur, I manage risk with cash and by ensuring appropriate diversification for the situation. I exit a position when the investment case changes or when it faces risks too significant for my own comfort. I have always equally picked “quality companies” that are well-positioned and priced in the market and reward owners with dividends, plus interesting growth cases.

I am not a value investor in the true sense of the word. And Nordea is on watch.

About 50% of the portfolio in Nordea and Hoivatilat.
Then 5-10% slices in
Nokia, Nokian Tyres, CapMan and corporate bond ETF.
Small slices in:
SSAB and ETFs (S&P 500, emerging markets and Asia excluding Japan) and as a joker, Sotkamo Silver, which has been lurking at the bottom.

Quite Finland-heavy for me. The intention now is to put more into indices.

I’ve personally tried to buy into companies that can be considered growth companies and perhaps do something new, in a new way, or in a new market. My stakes in euros are so small that if I hope to ever gain real benefit in euros, I have to take risks. I consider Efecte’s share too large, but I haven’t started selling it either.

Qt and Aspocomp’s weight shows a significant share of appreciation. Verkkokauppa’s weight would be higher without a significant decrease in value.

Qt 25%
Efecte 18%
Aspocomp 13%
Verkkokauppa 12%
Dt 12%
Kamux 10%

A link to the thread: Inderesväen omat salkut - Osakkeet - Inderes forum would fit well in this thread.

@Verneri_Pulkkinen, with summer approaching, would it be possible to get a video update on the analysts’ portfolios…? Or how do you feel about this topic there? Many portfolios have probably remained quite unchanged… Sauli even seemed to reduce his equity holdings last autumn… :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit: here’s a list of somewhat outdated information compiled… because a lot of new people have joined the forum in recent months and the information below has partly faded into the background…

@Atte_Riikola’s portfolio includes at least:

  • Remedy (has been the largest position)
< Edit: Talenom removed from here, see Atte’s message below. >
  • Fellow Finance

@Juha_Kinnunen’s key positions from the 18.7.2018 podcast:

  • Talenom
  • Taaleri
  • Orava
  • Restamax
  • Etteplan

@Mikael_Rautanen’s portfolio on 24.8.2018 in order of size, Mikael has described his portfolio as “quite concentrated”:

  • Revenio
  • Remedy
  • Siili
  • Siltronic
  • Restamax
  • Taaleri
  • Qt
  • Nixu
  • Efecte
  • Talenom
  • Innofactor
  • Martela
  • Digia (weight added further in autumn 2018 after the video)
  • Verkkis
  • Nokia

@Petri_Kajaani’s portfolio has confidence in Harvia, at least.

Regards, “the neighbor’s voyeur” :grinning::coffee::yellow_heart:

Unfortunately, Talenomia has never found its way into my portfolio, even though I’ve considered it multiple times.

My current portfolio in descending order of size (the first 2 have significantly the largest weight):

Remedy
Fellow Finance
Efecte
Taaleri
F-Secure
Nokia
Sampo

As a novice investor, I haven’t accumulated many companies in my portfolio yet. The risk is accordingly high, as there are no funds at all. The intention is to hold companies in the portfolio for at least over a year, so that trading costs don’t eat too much into the desired profits

Alibaba 33%
Facebook 31%
Nokia 20%
Fellow Finance 6%
Cash 10%

One would think Kamux is also in the portfolio.
