Merus Power is strengthening its strategic position in the growing European energy storage market by delivering an energy storage system to Poland. The 2 MW / 10 MWh energy storage system will be delivered to Tymbark-mws sp. z o.o., a company belonging to the Maspex Group. Maspex is one of the largest food industry companies in Central and Eastern Europe. The agreement has been signed between the consortium formed by EPQS and Merus Power, and Tymbark.
Merus Power’s contract includes the energy storage system and lifecycle services. The energy storage technology to be delivered includes features that support the electrical grid, such as black start, islanding operation, and grid-forming technology. The energy storage system is scheduled to be commissioned in the summer of 2027.
Typically, an energy storage system of this size has a value of approximately 2 million euros.
