I wonder if this could lead to a deal for LapWall; it seems like a very possible, slightly larger delivery project following their previous deliveries.

Hi Everyone! This morning we announced an investor news update regarding a new data center project: https://sijoittajat.lapwall.fi/fi/julkaisut?publicationId=fde16823-da16-4c39-be7e-67569594fced

I thought I would share some of my own insights regarding the significance of the data center project announced today.

Many see this news as a single project.

I see it above all as a demonstration that long-term product development, renewal, and opening up new markets can create value for the customer.

Data center construction is one of the fastest-growing construction segments in the world. At the same time, it is one of the most demanding. Structures must perform, schedules must hold, and quality must be predictable.

You don’t enter such markets by accident.

In recent years, we have determinedly developed products and solutions that meet the specific requirements of this segment. The first data center delivery was an opportunity for us to demonstrate that our solutions meet these requirements.

A second delivery to the same customer is an important proof for us that we can produce value for the customer in practice as well.

It is precisely these kinds of repeat deliveries that indicate a new segment is starting to turn from an opportunity into a business.

The first delivery shows that the product works.

The second delivery shows that the customer trusts it.

I believe that the future winners in construction will not be those who manufacture the most products. The winners will be those who identify market changes in time, renew themselves according to customer needs, and are able to transform their expertise into value produced for the customer.

In LapWall’s strategy, this means continuous product development, promoting industrial construction, and opening new markets whenever we see an opportunity to solve a customer’s problems better than existing alternatives.

Investments in data center construction are expected to remain strong in the coming years. Therefore, we consider the segment a strategically interesting part of LapWall’s long-term growth opportunities.

I want to thank the customer, our partners, and the entire LapWall staff for their excellent work.

The most important metric for a product company is not the first sale.

It is the second.

Here are the comments from Tommi regarding LapWall’s second data center order win in Kajaani

LapWall announced that it has received a second data center order from YIT, under which the company will deliver an element roof solution to XTX Markets’ data center in Kajaani. In our view, the order practically repeats the configuration of the first data center deal from August 2024, and we estimate its monetary value to be again in the size range of a few million euros. We consider the order strategically significant as it demonstrates that the roof concept developed for data centers is competitive, which in turn increases the probability of follow-up orders. However, despite the estimated good margin profile, the order has no immediate impact on our forecasts. Nevertheless, the order mitigates downside risks to our forecasts.

I wrote an article on LinkedIn today about leadership.

I have many discussions every year with entrepreneurs, board members, CEOs, and management teams. One question keeps coming to mind during these discussions:

Are you absolutely sure you’ve got skin in the game?

The article is not about LapWall, but about leadership in a broader sense. I thought the topic might also interest the readers of this forum.

Hi everyone!

‱ Return: Departure from PyhĂ€ntĂ€ to Vantaa in the afternoon after the opening ceremony.
‱ Travel time: Approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes each way.

More information about the opening ceremony:

Here are Tommi’s thoughts ahead of LapWall reporting its H1 results on Tuesday, August 4th:

We expect revenue to have continued growing, driven by a strong order backlog, although we anticipate the growth to be more moderate than the year-on-year growth of the order backlog, as we expect deliveries to be seasonally weighted toward the stronger second half of the year. Given the exceptionally weak comparison period, we forecast a clear improvement in profitability. In the report, our attention will be focused on the development of new sales, the company’s view on the development of the construction market, and the progress of the commissioning of the PyhĂ€ntĂ€ factory investment.

I have to say, this is a bold move and definitely deserves a huge hat tip to LapWall! I’ve told Jarmo several times that it would be nice to visit the site in person, take off my cap, and wipe my feet at the door of the new factory. The distance from Vantaa has just felt very long, and I haven’t otherwise been “up that way” at the right time. Although, it does require true fandom to set off around four in the morning for the trip! But why not! If the package also includes a red LapWall cap, then I promise to wear it ! I’ll double-check my calendar (and, of course, sign up through the requested channel).

Of course, the package also includes a great cap!:100: Nearly 600 party-goers have already signed up for the event, so it’s going to be a day worth waking up early for!

Edit: 1-3/2026 seems to squeeze just marginally more from the smaller net sales (LV) to the bottom line; I wonder if it’s a matter of cost timing or if they sold more high-margin stuff back then..?

Great growth once again, Jarmo & co! The strength of the order backlog is also great news. Hopefully, the new factory is running well. And on to two shifts next year.

Thanks for the great interview! I especially remember the reflections on the Lapwall 2100 towards the end. In my opinion, this is exactly the kind of long-term thinking that is worth engaging in, rather than focusing only on the next few years. I believe that things will emerge from that which will also influence the preparation of shorter-term plans. From an investor’s perspective, it’s also pleasant to hear, as it signals a long-term commitment to the company’s future.

I thought I would elaborate a bit more on what we mean when we say that LapWall is a product company.

For us, productization does not just mean standardizing elements or streamlining our own production. The idea is broader than that.

A well-designed and standardizable product enables automation, more efficient production, consistent quality, and continuous development. At the same time, our goal is for our products to support better productivity in our customers’ construction projects – for example, through faster turnaround, better predictability, and safer and more efficient construction sites.

This is also one of the key ideas behind LapWall’s long-term growth and competitiveness.

When products can be manufactured efficiently and repeatably, production can be automated, and the scope of product application can be expanded to new building types, the business can be scaled more effectively.

From project to product.
From the construction site toward industrial manufacturing.

I wrote about this concept in more detail on LinkedIn:
