We really should favor domestic products IF their price-to-quality ratio is right. If it isn’t, then we shouldn’t. Right now, in many areas, Oy Finland Ab has fallen behind, and the machinery manufactured here, for example, is absolute crap compared to what is made elsewhere and what they cost.
Being domestic doesn’t make a product good; it just makes it domestic. But I can’t figure out why anyone would buy a bad product for a higher price when you can get a better one for less…
