Kamux - Hunting for profitability improvement (Part 2)

Well, I didn’t know about this a week ago when I suggested the same thing to Kamux…
And still, there are well-known brands without a proper dealership network…
Bring new cars to Kamux too, at least in the ten biggest cities..!!

Go ahead and name a few well-known brands that lack a proper dealership/retailer, and we can compare them together against Kamux’s competence.

Well, speaking of quality Japanese cars, Suzuki & Honda & Subaru & Mazda, as well as South Korea’s Hyundai, are major brands, but they have modest representation and sales in Finland. Not to mention the Chinese ones.

Over time, European brands have also switched dealerships; some of them naturally demand marble floors, but there’s no sense in that whatsoever…
By the way, are Opels and Peugeots still sold in Finland…?

Sure, Kamux probably could sell new ones too, but as far as I understand, the margins on them are really thin. For Saka, an important factor in trying out new cars is certainly the recently acquired service company, which will get business through the new cars.

In itself, it’s interesting that Kamux is now the only major automotive player focused on just one segment of the market (used cars), as can be seen from the tweaked image from the comprehensive report below. In past years, this focus was considered an advantage, but the results of recent years show that this edge has been competed away. Of course, for Saka, maintenance services and new cars still play a very minor role for now.

Personally, I think Saka is playing it smart and bringing to market precisely the kind of electric cars that the increasingly impoverished public can afford.
