I actually laughed out loud just now on Twitter.
Well, my biggest losses are from Hyzon, Alibaba, and Ehang, which are just sitting there. I’ve boasted about liking to dance on the edge, and sometimes I’ve felt stupid, like when Hyzon got hammered. But I’ve managed to sell Harvia, Kone, Fortum, Kuutti, and even Voxtur near their peaks. My portfolio is currently down 3%. Now, unfortunately, it looks like others will also be sweating, but we’ll get through this; we always have before. The rise will come eventually, that’s for sure. For now, my purchases are on hold, as the situation is pretty good. The time for buying will come ![]()

I haven’t followed it, but I have heard something about them. I’ll have to check them out too…

Old forum users remember this meme that appeared in the Revenio thread in connection with the interim reports:
Then the meme was supplemented:
I couldn’t resist the temptation to supplement it:
Disclaimer: Qt is one of my largest holdings.
Something got in my eye when I saw this ![]()

Ok, I’ve also had the principle of not investing with borrowed money…
Welcome to Investor Training 2020-2023 ![]()
The training is conducted as a three-year intensive course, where concepts are crammed into the student’s head at about 10x speed. Exams are held quarterly, and students pay a significant surcharge for failures.
Key contents of the training:
-Pandemic and global lockdown
-Massive fiscal stimulus
-Exploded valuations
-Stock market and crypto bubble
-War in Europe and energy crisis
-Bear market
-Inflation at 9% and recession.
-As a bonus, stagflation can be offered at the same price to those who survive the training.
Big hats off and congratulations to those who have made it this far, as you have an excellent opportunity to become an even better investor in the future; now is not the time to give up ![]()
I believe new training courses will be released next year at the latest, but by popular demand, we will try to reduce the intensity of the training.
I was initially planning one future training course, and my thoughts went a bit off track… Well, let’s try again tomorrow

I had Fortum, QT, Harvia, and G5 (it’s probably dipping now, Remex seems to be setting the example). But luckily, I don’t anymore. I sold my Fortum shares earlier when I fully understood the Uniper connection, and I simply started chickening out (thankfully). It wasn’t long before the whole awful billion-euro blunder made by Fortum’s management came to light, and the stock plunged. There was some luck involved there too (in the timing of the sale). With that experience “in the back of my mind,” I became nervous about QT and Harvia as well and put them up for sale too—just for my own peace of mind. Beginner’s luck, most likely, for once it went this way.
This was really great! Three years of investor education, indeed! ![]()
This was absolutely lovely and really warmed my heart while I was on my trip.
Greetings from around the world! Tomorrow, we’ll take negotiations with these folks to the Golden Circles and by the Golden Waterfall.
Next week, it’ll be time to return to work for negotiations. ![]()
I accept the title of Minister of Foreign Affairs with great warmth. ![]()
Qt is a good example. If Juurikki were Qt’s analyst at X-bank, there would be two options: being branded an idiot or getting fired. When a company makes an EPS of less than €1, you can calculate the price based on current earning capacity to be about €10, to which a growth expectation premium must, of course, be added. Would it be another €10 or even €15?
I don’t envy the analyst. You can choose whether to be dishonest and, by following the share price, eventually be labeled an idiot, or to be honest and, at the request of both the analyzed company and clients, be transferred to external assignments.
The interim report season is a tough time. ![]()
Reports are coming in and Inderes is pushing out company reports and comments, so the alarm clock rings early enough for me to read all the possible morning materials.
Compared to calmer times, I spend an hour or two more per day on investment matters during report season than normally. Over the past 1.5 years, report seasons have been tough for me, as you’ve probably seen from my portfolio’s return curve. ![]()
I must admit that despite everything I’ve written before, I look forward to report season; the atmosphere and vibe on the Forum are almost like during major football tournaments.
On the other hand, if and when I develop as an investor over the years, I can trust myself, so perhaps then I’ll stress less, even if there are occasionally more challenging (report) times… I can’t fully trust myself as an investor yet - but maybe someday? ![]()
(Now I’m on a short trip; writing and reading reports is “a bit” slower
)
I wonder what interesting things we’ll see in Inderes’ earnings webcast today
(Besides figures that fall short of forecasts). Or did we regress so much from last time’s comments that it’s a boring and ordinary earnings webcast for a change?
.
The analyst has also completed @Tollo_Hilppa’s investor training. Honesty now resonates well with a very receptive investor base. The best investors are now listening closely, and in-depth company analyses are being read carefully. ![]()
This is true; it’s a tricky dilemma for an analyst to solve. The analyst could raise the stock’s risk class and write a disclaimer stating that, due to market sentiment, elevated multiples are currently accepted for the stock, which, if corrected, will affect the stock price.
Yes, that bull market was a nice time. We had Petri from Kajaani analyzing many of my favorites, and Rautanen at the helm of Revenio and Qt. That time is long gone, autumn has arrived.
It is.
But was there some way to get email notifications about negative or positive news from companies one follows?
Is it possible with premium?
Otherwise, it feels like I’m always late… ![]()
I’d be genuinely surprised if the stock market decline is over and everything is priced in
Are we about to have the rug pulled out from under us again?
I believe you can subscribe to stock exchange and other releases directly to your email from every listed company. This way you’ll receive the release at the same moment it’s published. So, just head to the investor relations pages of your chosen companies and subscribe to their email releases there.
