Inderes Coffee Room (Part 5)

This topic sparked my interest. When you look into Sarastia’s owners, new nuances might emerge.

So, interestingly, they want to use software clearly tailored for the municipal sector for payroll. I’m not a (municipal) financial administration professional, but are there really such big differences?

Also, a good question is who developed the previous system?

Apparently, this is a solution built on top of MS Dynamics 365. One could imagine there would be many alternative implementers for these.

I wrote a message about this in the development ideas thread with my own thoughts, to which Thomas responded. I’ve also been wondering why share valuation multiples don’t seem to affect Inderes’ risk assessment. After high multiples have corrected downwards, shares classified in the lowest-risk category have fallen like a stone. The risk table should by no means be read as “risk” taking a stance on how likely the 12-month target price or recommendation will hold true. The current risk table doesn’t care about the share price - a share is low-risk, no matter what the multiples are, as long as the business meets certain criteria for risk-free operation. That’s how I’ve understood it. :sunglasses:

The target price and recommendation are, in a way, married to each other. Both are dependent on the share price. The risk assessment is separate from these in the current system, because it doesn’t look at the share price (multiples).

Qt has, after all, been one of the real gems of the stock market, and nothing beats a face-to-face interview. Varelius has at least kept his word so far; promises have been fulfilled. There are interviews from other companies too.

That last lightening wasn’t quite perfect, and luckily I still left 30% of the position open, as they say this is a must-own. Even though I lost a good amount of paper money today, I feel strangely good because it could have been worse.

Exactly for this reason. I don’t typically invest with a loan, but that 0.99% super loan against the portfolio is really handy if you quickly need cash for a larger purchase, or most recently, for paying inheritance taxes.

If Kamux issues another negative outlook, I can shout “Bingo!”
My portfolio also includes QT, Remedy, and Harvia.

I’m in a similar boat here; somehow I hope it comes out as soon as possible so I can hyperventilate into the same paper bag. I can’t afford a new one now

Have you been following tankers (product), for example, STNG published its all-time best Q2 on Thursday.

Regarding these fund sales, everyone should also remember that there are also redemptions, which forces them to sell assets (if there isn’t much cash on the side) even if they don’t want to, so that withdrawals can be paid by the redemption date.
This message of mine is coffee room stuff (can be moved) and its added value to the Tecnotree thread is quite close to 0.

If anyone doubts whether Kuutti will be available for 55e, that doubt will disappear tomorrow at the latest, as today’s decision was quite drastic. I’m just waiting for Kamux’s negative outlook, and then I’ll have a straight flush. I really don’t understand what the idea was behind giving Qt a negative outlook 3 days before earnings.

This is the risk Nordea faces. We have a far-left government, after all.

Luckily, money can also be extracted from Fortum. Or not

A few tips for the esteemed forum members:

  1. If you write in your post, “this can be moved because it doesn’t belong in this thread,” then you should write it directly in the correct thread.

  2. If you write in your post, “feel free to flag this,” shouldn’t you just not publish it?

We have great mods here, and we shouldn’t create extra work for them.

The question in the poll was “Do you have a concrete, written investment plan? (which you follow disciplinedly)”. If even one of the mentioned points is missing or occasionally fails, then the answer to the poll is “No”.

Also, a “Yes” answer to the poll is not a guarantee of outperformance.

@Verneri_Pulkkinen seems to have fallen into terrible traps again, as Inderes has a buy recommendation for Kamux, and he can’t sell even though the data is terrible and consumers’ purchasing power is being destroyed as we head into a recession and energy crisis :scream:

@Thomas_Westerholm :pray:

This puts the efficient market hypothesis to a tough test again. Everyone follows these statistics, and if they’re not priced in yet, it’s a miracle  Today, Kamux also had a ± day even though these were published.

If the only four Finnish companies in my portfolio all give negative guidance in the same quarter with a “Buy” recommendation, then I consider these markets to be highly efficient.

A long-term owner doesn’t care about one negative wave hitting their portfolio, but looks ahead to 2025, etc.

This negative news from Remedy doesn’t hit as hard as QT, for some reason.

I’ve internalized for a long time now that payday is somewhere far away, and there are 1-2 gap years to dig into dips for more if one wants to grow their position.

Then negative news comes from a quarter in a year when you don’t expect anything from the company. Mmmkay? :person_shrugging:

Edit: I did put in a sell order for tomorrow, though, I don’t believe the price will jump up. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

But probably with too high a limit price..

January 2021:

It only took a year and a half. This investment mistake has finally been rectified. Qt is cheaper than the aforementioned selling price. \o/

Time is clearly a (hindsight) investor’s best friend.

Yeah, but you missed out on dividends… oh wait!

Is this the forum’s first move that has turned from an investment mistake into an investment success?

Congratulations.
