Inderes.fi product development updates #techtalk

When I sort columns by “recommendation” and “price”, the order seems to be a bit random. Bug?

It first sorts by recommendation, and then within that by price or potential  Might be confusing.

Hmm, I think I’m only sorting by one criterion. It works on Firefox (left), but not on Chrome.

hmm.. you have to make the first press without shift and then the second sort press with shift  #jokerifeature

I’ve fixed a few bugs:

  • Recommendation sorting now works better. Previously, Technopolis, which was on the Keep recommendation, caused problems.
  • Course change sorting now works better. Previously, companies that hadn’t been traded at all during the day caused problems because they had no value. Now their change percentage is 0%.

That course change is tough, though. Google used to be my browser homepage, but now it’s this.

I’ve got to say it myself, even though I watched over my colleague’s shoulder what was coming out of it, the end result is amazing  I’ll gladly use this in my free time too!

Hi,

Is there a setting somewhere, or a code snippet, that would allow the forum posts to be ordered with the newest first when opening the feed? That would be more logical for me.

Thank you kindly :tulip:

I received an email that looked like the screenshot below, from a sender succinctly named “system.” While this was apparently legitimate, all the spam indicators and phishing symptoms were present. Perhaps it could be improved to sound a bit more “credible”?

@Musti Congrats :grin:

Speaking of emails, a couple of unnecessary observations. It’s quite peculiar how some Inderes emails go into the “Primary” inbox in Gmail, while others go into the “Promotions” inbox. There doesn’t seem to be any specific sorting principle, and I don’t know if anything can be done about it. Another striking thing is that the sender of the morning reviews is “Inderes Oy” and for other emails, it’s “Inderes.”

Now I’m back from vacation. Next week, I could make a change to the stock comparison tool so that when you type a company’s name, it stays in all tabs, regardless of whether you’re looking at valuation multiples or key figures  This week will be spent coding some features for the Sijoitus Invest fair :S See you there! All webcasts for the Sijoitus Invest fair have also been published and are waiting for the Live event to start here: https://www.inderes.fi/sijoitus-invest-2018

Many Capital Markets Day productions are also coming soon:
Aspo Capital Markets Day 21.11.2018 Webcast starts at 11:30
F-secure Capital Markets Day webcast 28.11.2018 starting at 8:45
CapMan Capital Markets Day webcast 28.11.2018 starting at 12:00

I am back! Said the term… no, King Gong. Yes!

While King was on vacation, the old truth “buy when the CEO buys” turned into “buy when the coder buys.” Uncle Masse was genuinely annoyed that he didn’t jump on the Harvia bandwagon even though King clearly expressed his opinion about it. It won’t happen again. Now, we just need a new buy/sell tip from King here on the headlines, and the common folk, including Uncle Masse, will follow at the tail end of the crowd.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
The new front page news feed and content page styles have changed. If anything comes to mind, please post it here! The biggest change is that it is now clearer if a company comments on QA questions and if a video or article is published by the company. For example, all Q4 earnings reports are the company’s own publications, and the QA in the screenshot below is published by Sampo because they have commented on it. In contrast, Reports and comments are from Inderes. All news feeds also load automatically, meaning you just need to scroll down the page, and content will continuously appear.

Yu, would it be possible to get a direct link to the Inderes main page from this forum? Currently, if you browse through many discussions consecutively, you either have to backtrack the entire route or retype inderes.fi into the browser. Thanks!

@liiks hey, doesn’t tapping inderes take you directly to the home page (at least on mobile)?

Mine looks a bit different, or rather, I hardly ever go to the main discussions page. I just navigate from the discussions visible on the front page and then directly from one discussion to another. But indeed! I just noticed that if you click the “house” icon at the top, you go to the main discussions page, which again has the Inderes link. I’ve never thought to click that little house icon…

Tsk, I won’t get so lazy as to demand Yu to code something just because I can’t be bothered to click twice

edit: on laptop

Today, fixes were implemented for Internet Explorer browsers. For example, Insider Transactions, Stock Comparison, and some tables were poorly displayed or not visible in Internet Explorer. In addition, more power was added to the servers in anticipation of Nokia Day, so that Nokia coffee doesn’t go down the wrong pipe.

Oh, and on the company pages, insider transactions and the company’s top 10 largest owners were moved next to each other, below the forecasts.

Citycon’s reverse split has now been updated in the system. :robot: Citycon - osake - Inderes

Hey, it would be great if there was a feature on the company pages that would allow one to jump directly to the company pages of companies in the same sector. For example, this would greatly improve the fluidity of quickly comparing valuation ratios within the sector and would also make it easier to avoid having to go through the entire company list looking for suitable comparables.
P.S. I understand that not all companies in the same sector are exact comparables, e.g., due to growth rate, etc., and that not all companies even have companies in the same sector on the Helsinki Stock Exchange/under your watch, but I still think such a quick navigation would be a nice addition
