I’m opening a thread about Compleo charging solutions, which was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany on October 12, 2020.
The company focuses on manufacturing electric vehicle charging stations for public and commercial use. The company does not currently manufacture any stations for home use, nor does it currently have plans to expand in that direction.
The business includes the design, production, installation, and maintenance of charging stations. The product range includes both AC and DC charging stations. AC stations charge by utilizing the electric car’s own charger (slower), while in a DC charging station, the station’s charger charges the electric car’s battery directly.
Production and headquarters are located in Dortmund, Germany.
The company was founded back in 2009, but only in recent years has its operations really started to grow. Revenue in H1 2020 doubled compared to H1 2019 (14.3 million vs 7.2 million). The company is not yet profitable, but the trend is towards improvement (H1 2020 -28.9€ EPS vs H1 2019 -52.56€ EPS). The company expects the most growth in the DC fast charging station sector in the coming years.
The majority of sales and business take place in Germany, where approximately 22,000 stations have been installed (as of 10/2020). Through a company partner, operations have also been expanded to Switzerland in late 2020, and recently there has been news of expansion into Austria.
After the initial rally, stock volume has cooled, and today there was a 10% downward correction. Although there is a strong boom in the industry (e.g., Zaptec), enthusiasm for this company has not yet really taken hold on a large scale.
