Bittium. What thoughts?

Hi @Tallitonttu, @JOHTAJA1, and @Vangogh

Thank you all for your questions. In the spirit of summer, I will answer everyone in one package.

Bittium’s share of the ESSOR consortium is smaller than a calculated share (1/6) would be, because Finland’s share of these six countries is smaller. Larger countries have larger shares (they invest more) and smaller countries—such as Finland—have a smaller share. The countries’ shares were agreed upon at the time the consortium was established. This has nothing to do with the technology.

Negotiations with our potential customers have progressed well, and we will announce any potential future deals via press releases, just as we have in the past. I would like to point out, however, that any potential orders that are large in size or significance to the company require disclosure via a stock exchange release. We currently have no new information regarding the UK tender process. Let us hope that the turbulence in the UK political scene does not affect the schedule of the tender. (UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey resigned in June due to disagreements over defense spending plans.)

The participation of representatives from Finnish defense and security companies in the President of the Republic’s foreign trips is an established practice when the theme of the trip is security or defense policy. On such trips, the President and the government simultaneously promote the exports and international partnerships of the Finnish defense industry, and the presence of business leaders enables direct meetings with other countries’ decision-makers, ministries of defense, and companies all in one place. Bittium participated in the NATO summit in Ankara as part of the business delegation. Participation in such delegations brings companies a great deal of visibility and increases credibility.

Wishing everyone a sunny and warm continuation of the summer!
