To my ear, it sounds more jarring that a supplier used for many years is replaced by another, even if only with a one-year contract. This Anne character does seem a bit like a “whose bread I eat, his song I sing” situation. One would also assume that the one-year contract is still valid; it’s unlikely they terminated it mid-term.
It could be that they tested both and concluded that Ibex is better/cheaper/easier. It wouldn’t be surprising at all if Aiforia were to lose contracts occasionally, but so far things have gone excellently.
