The best part of the report was that the improvement in profitability levels wasn’t just a temporary blip, but now seems permanent. July’s revenue and strong sales were the next highlights. In relation to what others have reported for Q2 and what public statistics have shown about the sector over the last few months, this was once again a very strong report. Of course, one would still hope for a slightly more spirited growth, but perhaps that will be delivered later this year!
Last year, the beginning of August was surprisingly quiet in terms of sales until the ketchup bottle finally opened towards the end of the month. I believe September was then a record-breaking month for sales. Now, let’s just hope for more of that
