Witted - Next-generation software development company

I think @Karhu_Hylje you have a pretty good point there: if no concrete M&A targets emerge that are worth pursuing and the money isn’t needed, for instance, to build a new offering or business line, it can kindly be returned to the owners. Those share buybacks that have been running throughout the year are definitely a good thing, though the next step keeps us waiting—namely, those repurchased shares should be canceled if they aren’t needed. That cancellation should especially be carried out if their share starts approaching 10% of the entire company.

Witted established a nomination committee of sorts this year, which I tentatively agreed to join. The current theme there is supplementing the Board of Directors at the next General Meeting. One member stepped down from the Board in the fall, but it’s really not worth burning money to hold an EGM just for that, so the next AGM is the logical place to complement the Board.

I am allowed to propose suitable members for the next meeting, and I thought good ideas might come from here on who would be worth proposing. Who do you think could be a good fit for Witted’s Board of Directors from 2027 onwards—who should we ask to join?

Two background considerations: 1. It would be good if the person were from either Finland or Norway (because of the business), 2. It would be great if female candidates happened to be found; there is a severe shortage of them in leadership roles across the IT sector.
