Witted - Next-generation software development company

Dear @OsakePaisti,

I first thought about skipping your comment, but it was such a creative interpretation of reality that I would have committed a disservice if I didn’t respond. Although it’s not my responsibility to reply on behalf of the company, I’m not dead and I know how to raise my elbows when called upon. Honestly, if your analysis were any further from the facts, it would need a tourist visa to get back.

When you look at the picture Franco posted, you’ll see that the company has gone from -20 percent organic growth to positive in a year. That’s quite a feat in a market where some companies are currently mostly doing breathing exercises and wondering whether to charge the oxygen mask or just give up.

Your claim that “revenue has not followed suit” requires a rather bold imagination, when right next to it is a picture where the curve clearly turns upwards. If you dispute that, you should update either your data or your worldview.

And as for the “toughest sales team in the village”: it didn’t exist a few years ago, but if you look at the same picture, you’ll see what happens when one is built. The first turnaround is the hardest part: sales that work even when the market isn’t helping anyone. The latter stage is just continuing from where you’ve already reached. If that doesn’t tell you about the change in the sales organization’s level, then I don’t know what does.

But thanks anyway – it’s rare to come across a comment that manages to both provoke and offer so much entertainment value at the same time. That’s a skill in itself. I almost hope you’ll keep making these.

Greetings to the Witted crew, you’re doing a hell of a good job, keep up the good work.

Sincerely,
Harrisi
