This refers to the past, and those things are known to more or less everyone who has followed Tokmanni. However, goodwill impairment testing assesses expected future cash flows, and now those are estimated to have fallen from what was previously expected.
I personally interpreted the matter such that the turnaround in Dollarstore’s profitability will take longer than the management previously estimated, and that is why a write-down on goodwill had to be made. In my opinion, the weak performance of past quarters is not the point here, but rather the outlook for the future.
