Kakkonen can say whatever he wants—Tokmanni’s problem isn’t a narrowing product range (it has actually been expanded, at least with the Dollarstore acquisition); it’s almost solely and exclusively Dollarstore.
More generally, the biggest mistakes of my investing career involve turnarounds that remained nothing but dreams. There is PLENTY of time to buy a company early “enough” once there is actual evidence of a turnaround.
