Toast focuses specifically on small and medium-sized restaurants, although they are also capable of handling larger accounts.

The number of new customers grew record-breakingly, with particular development seen in large corporations, international markets, and the grocery retail sector. Growth and profitability will be further strengthened in the coming year, but there’s nothing special about that.
The total value of Toast’s transactions has grown about four times faster than Square’s in recent years. Toast’s success is partly due to a strategy tailored specifically for the restaurant industry, integrated ecosystems, flexible pricing, user-friendly/easy-to-use systems, and comprehensive customer support.

The company’s revenue-based recurring revenue grew significantly from the previous year, as did payment volume and both GAAP and non-GAAP margins in software and fintech services.
Net income and profitability also improved significantly compared to a year ago.
CEO Aman Narang described the quarter as strong, highlighting the growing customer base, the momentum from new products, and his confidence in the company’s long-term opportunities.
