Investments gone wrong

I thought I’d start a thread about the worst failures, maybe we could even get some proper tragicomic laughs.

For me, it went like this:

I originally bought Lehto at €7.45 and then 10x’d my stake at €2.55, hoping it would take off. It didn’t, and I sold at €2.38.

I originally bought Innofactor at €1.37 and it’s come down since then. I’ve bought more, and my average purchase price is still €0.87.

F-Secure was originally €4.45, now my average price is €3.02. So I’m still hovering between -15% and -20%.

Lastly, I recently bought Nordea at €6.85 and this time I remembered to put a stop loss at €6.40, which it hit today.

I guess it could go better :joy: Luckily, my funds are at least in the green, so I’m at least somewhat breaking even.

Well. Someone might have gotten too deep into Uncle Masse’s twisted way of thinking. But when Uncle’s investment guide says “Buy low and sell high”, there’s nothing twisted about that :slight_smile: But investing is entertainment, which you have to…

On the other hand, Uncle’s Nordea herd has already thinned out to the slaughter limit today. We’ll see how it goes.

Masse, FA, my condolences :face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

There’s a dedicated thread for investment mistakes at Sijoitusvirheet - Osakkeet - Inderes forum

I suggest we keep that thread active.

Good point, let’s move the discussion to that thread! :slight_smile: I’m locking this one.
