The market wasn’t more excited because the deal only involved cameras. Value creation happens at the level where a machine can replace—and perhaps later not only replace, but perform better, i.e., faster and more accurately—work done by humans, specifically the interpretation of images. The player offering the best AI algorithm plus EMR integration and user interface will take the market.
