Today, I was wondering when I visited NOHO’s website to check the company’s restaurant listings. I already knew that NOHO has a strong position in the heart of Tampere, but I haven’t looked into it restaurant by restaurant. This week, I started my studies at the Tampere School of Business, and the whole week has been orientation from both the student organization and the university’s side. An additional note is the information that NOHO is some kind of partner with the Boomi student organization. It can be found on Boomi’s homepage in the partner listing.
Regarding NOHO and experiences with the company.
Of the four bar/restaurant visits last week, three were to NOHO’s places. These three were Passion, Viihdemaailma Ilona, and Hook, all of which were reserved by the student organization Boomi ry to keep the group together. The group consisted of approximately 100-200 people.
Last Sunday, Passion was filled with freshmen from 8:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The theme of the evening was to get to know the tutors and fellow freshmen over games and a few drinks. The place left a good impression, although I wouldn’t necessarily go there alone to spend an evening, but with a larger group, I would definitely go. The table arrangements, soft sofas, and booths were suitable for groups of 4-8 people.
On Tuesday, the activities continued with a sports day, after which we headed to Hook’s restaurant to eat wings and hamburgers with our tutor groups, each according to their own taste. There were several different groups on site with small staggered timings. The food tasted good, and everyone fit in well, and the place was suitable for the arrangement.
On Thursday, the party night headed to Ilona after the student organization’s pre-party, where the evening continued with singing karaoke and getting to know each other. In the part of Ilona that was reserved for us, the atmosphere was at its peak, and there were suitable table groups where one could ask questions and discuss excellently. The drinks were also reasonably priced, and there was occasionally a queue at the counters. From Ilona, the journey continued around midnight to the after-after-party.
Overall, the places left a good impression of service and atmosphere. It remains to be seen whether NOHO will continue its strong presence in the future.
