Today I was just negotiating a deal for the 2026 all-electric GLC, and digital add-on services have annual fees of about €4,000 if you take all the assistance features and the alarm package for a new car (renewals every 3-6 years). Also, if I remember correctly, the service contract was €67/month. An electric car where there is hardly anything to maintain. If people buy and pay for these, then maybe Mercedes stock will start to look interesting. It’s exactly this recurring billing that brings companies a nice revenue stream, and that’s why I personally avoid them as they cause constant expenses.
The car has a serviceable and openable battery, which is good in terms of repair costs, as well as readiness for bidirectional charging. Not active yet. In the future, the car can be connected to the home electrical system.
When is the car available? I ordered a CLA 250+ in October from Wetteri, and originally it was supposed to be delivered in 6/26, but now the delivery is delayed until August. I tentatively took the service contract, and if I recall correctly, it was something like €30/month.
