Nokia as an investment (Part 4)

Bit of a nothing article…

As a UK company operating fully inside European legal jurisdiction, Nokia provides Nscale with an airtight sovereign identity. Nokia is not simply a hardware vendor waiting on purchase orders; they are actually a co-developer and strategic investor also! Therefore it is also highly unlikely that Nscale would replace Nokia in the U.S. market… While the “sovereignty argument” is localized to Europe, swapping out Nokia for a domestic U.S. competitor like Arista or Cisco when Nscale builds in North America makes little corporate, structural, or technical sense either.

Nscale’s British identity is precisely the reason for partnering with Nokia. The relationship is structural, intentional, and irreplaceable. Dell on the other hand is replaceable in this equation in Europe, but Nokia and Dell function as a deeply integrated technology duo, so it would also be highly unlikely. Dell is also Nscale’s primary vehicle for unlocking, anchoring, and scaling its market share in the United States.

In reality, the leverage sits with the specialized providers. If Nscale wants to offer a platform that is both sovereign and full stack.
