The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has ruled that a lawsuit against Meta can proceed.
The lawsuit alleges that Instagram is designed to be addictive to young people, for example, through infinite scrolling and notifications. The court believes the case is more about Meta’s own actions than users’ posts.
Meta, of course, denies the allegations in court.
