Inderes Coffee Room (Part 6)

In the long run, the Alokas effect is only positive, right Eka? :sunglasses:

Me and the others are clearly hyped for Valmet’s Q1, as we’re already waiting for the earnings live stream.

With my brain still a bit foggy this morning, I took a quick look and thought you’d dropped 46k on a small one-time purchase XD

That would be starting to be some big ballah moves

I’m not usually one to brag, and there hasn’t really been much reason to, but sometimes things have turned out exceptionally well.

A nice surprise just dropped through the mail slot for a frequent tote bag user, it will definitely be put to use! Thanks @Inderes :smiling_face_with_tear:

Disclaimer: potentially bad humor regarding investing and the forum may follow. You can still skip this message.

Kempower is going its own way and many are annoyed they missed the train, and don’t feel like buying because it’s a bubble anyway, but…

Amidst all the Hatrick-Laine and Ida Vainio hype, regardless of where next year’s Eurovision is held… Noho could still have potential for a nice frenzy where the thread would be filled with photos of events and how the Noho train is rolling and the party is on!

Hasn’t @timontti been buying this too at a good(?) price, so there’s someone to blame when everyone went overboard.

PS. Along with Timontti, Ekan, Masse, and others, there are people I look up to for various reasons and who made me stay on the forum. As a relevant memory, perhaps the hindsight speculation of Orthex as the Tesla of plastic containers, or maybe not.

The humor part ends. This is just a reminder that there will be plenty of ups and downs for everyone, and sometimes everything looks different depending on the moment of observation. Keep a cool head during earnings seasons and when the companies’ and especially the stock prices’ reactions cause turmoil in your mind. Keep on quarterly rocking!

I personally follow Pentti Jokinen, at least on Twitter; excellent tweets.

The Vepu effect is a LEVERAGE effect upwards!

Oh boy, tomorrow it’s Nordea coffee and breakfast at Strindenberg, remember we’re not selling for anything under 11€ :rocket:

I bet a positive profit warning is coming later this year and the ROE target will be raised to 15%. A company trading below book value with 15% ROE, portfolio = :money_bag::money_bag::money_bag:

What liquid is in those tubes and why?

Watch out so it doesn’t end up like the banter with @Sijoittaja-alokas when I bought Wärtsilä and he bought Konecranes. The start looked weak, but now…

We are probably not quite even yet, but Wärtsilä has already risen +42% from the purchase price.

Well, these six-month returns don’t really matter that much in the long run.

I wonder if Tesla investors have heard of Wärtsilä?

Well, if I happened to have Wärtsilä in my portfolio with a >+40% return, I would seriously consider taking profits on that adventure.

Maybe I have too many bad experiences with these basic cyclicals. A characteristic of an unskilled investor…

Let’s look a bit further at the development of profitability and energy storage systems.

But yeah, one shouldn’t expect too much from these large companies, but maybe it’s finally Wärre’s turn to shine. At least they’re holding a good hand.

He who dwells on the past gets a cod in the eye! :rage:

Wärre is quite expensive now and KC is cheap. :sunglasses:

P.S. I was wondering why you liked my old KC buy announcement yesterday.

It is the year 2023. We are living in the most difficult-to-predict macro environment of an exceptional decade. US banks are teetering. AI is taking over the world. Opportunities to make large fortunes can be found everywhere, one way or another.

…In the Inderes coffee room, the discussion is about mature-stage engineering and crane companies

But then again, those AI tech hype stocks don’t pay dividends! Unlike the mature ones.

Just tap water. I don’t actually even know why water is put in them, but it’s a common practice.
