Inderes Coffee Room (Part 11)

But would an advanced AI agent have missed the cheapest package of oatmeal?

At least for @Sijoittaja-alokas, the investment returns falling below the index could be explained by being trained based on material written on the forum?

You can draw your own conclusions from this

Yeah, that became quite cryptic when it translated them into Finnish

The US government seems to have registered a new domain for themselves  This is probably where illegal immigration (illegal aliens) is discussed

If interest rates rise even further because of this Iran war, I’m going to demonstrate this “Finnish happiness” of mine by dousing myself in gasoline and setting myself on fire in front of the ECB headquarters. Graduate unemployment is at an all-time high in Finnish history, making the annual wage negotiations challenging, and soon inflation will be rampant again, slashing consumption—and on top of that, you end up paying even more in income transfers to the bank without getting anything back.

The standard of living is a far cry from what it was during the zero-interest rate era, and nobody seems to have any plan on how to escape this constant stagnation and return to a brighter future. The last time things were truly going well for Finland was in 2007, and since then, many people have entered adulthood without ever experiencing a genuine economic boom during their working careers.

Yesterday we wrapped up a podcast episode with @Juha_Kinnunen :studio_microphone: We had some scheduling challenges, so it turned into an evening shift and we started recording closer to 8 PM. Probably because of that, the episode turned out quite chaotic and the conversation wandered a bit all over the place  Well, at least we managed to record our views on the economy, the war in Iran, AI, stock market valuations, and Helsinki small caps :chart_decreasing::chart_increasing::bar_chart:

No worries, everyone can freely come to Finland as Wolt drive.. I mean as students, and of course the spouse and family must be allowed into the country at the same time, so they can get a free pension in a few years.

Fortunately, Finland is in no way dependent on imported energy, as our decision-makers have secured our backs by deciding not to build the necessary new nuclear power plants to replace the aging ones, government debt is under control and only 600,000 Finns are in debt collection..

#happy?

I don’t care much for boats, but there’s just something about this one :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Crockett’s theme is playing in the background of the video, of course

You’ll really be appreciated when you do a cold start of that thing at five in the morning on a summer weekend—people won’t have to wake up to the annoying sound of birds singing.

Now would be a good time for that Swedish excavator attachment firm loved by Vepu to launch a new “OpenClaw” product family of excavator attachments. Ponsse should also take heed of this tip.

Companies can reach out to me via private message. I will gladly share my bank account number, where they can send the millions saved in marketing and management consulting services thanks to this idea.

Hats off for being able to share the good stuff with your inner circle and bringing them together. Plus, you know how to celebrate when the time is right.

This study on Finnish happiness reminded me of a saying by an acquaintance: I am satisfied with little.

Thanks, thanks. It’s weighing on me pretty badly, for sure. But nothing compared to when I turned 40. That was a shock. I was a total wreck. It’s when you realize you’re getting older and will die at some point. But there’s no use brooding too much. The lights will go out for good eventually. You have to enjoy having a family, being on good terms with everyone, being a nearly debt-free man, having health, and a job. None of those are a given!

Yup. My wife and both sons with their girlfriends are coming along. I once asked for budget travel tips here in the coffee room. Based on your tips, we chose Latvia and Riga as our destination. And a damn fancy hotel. Oh well. Let’s see how it feels and how Riga Black Balsam – Wikipedia tastes.
