Following investment discussions can be especially frustrating at first, as the vocabulary and style of speech don’t fit into normal language at all, which isn’t the point of slang anyway. Anglicisms jump out at you and ring in your ears. Track record. Targari (Target). Bull. Bear. Permabear… Analysts also have their way of sometimes framing their messages in a form that isn’t immediately obvious. “The stock’s valuation is challenging” practically means that the stock is expensive. Don’t buy.
