Inderes Coffee Room (Part 10)

According to the story, they have set a €200 limit… It’s up to everyone to consider whether €200 is a lot or a little when buying electronics

So, that €200 limit has been set by the online store itself, according to that announcement.

Probably 99% of the origin of such €10k cash purchases is related to some kind of foul play, the grey economy, and obscuring the origin of money. One might wonder where such amounts of cash come into circulation.. Could it be various drug trafficking, cigarette trafficking, other cash trade where taxes are avoided, etc.. Undeclared wages, human trafficking, fraud, etc…

I still think it’s absolutely right that it’s being monitored. No normal companies or consumers need to carry tens of thousands in cash nowadays to buy electronics or anything else.

It seems the company won’t be able to get the stock price up, no matter what kind of result it achieves. If buyers aren’t interested, then they aren’t interested. I do wonder a bit. Well, I’ve wondered about many other things too. Let’s wait a bit longer and then sell it off, and others can try their luck with this. I thought this was a good investment, but ‘assumption is not worth knowledge,’ as they say.

When looking at the company’s entire short investment history, one wouldn’t immediately consider it even Hesuli’s worst investment.

Yes, I understood this completely, but still, that online store’s limit is absolutely ridiculous considering the company’s industry…

I agree with that, but maybe they took it seriously..

Apparently, based on that customer service page, gift cards are not equivalent to cash, so you can circumvent that cash limit by buying as many 200 euro gift cards with cash as you need. You have to step out of the store for a while, after which it’s a new transaction. And you can buy a new gift card again. So a 2000 euro purchase can be paid with 9 x 200e gift cards and 200e cash. They’ve made using cash really difficult nowadays.

Now I understand why Esa Juntunen said in the book “Vaurastu viisasti” (Get Rich Wisely) that it’s good to use cash, as it makes paying as difficult as possible and saves money. I don’t think very many people would bother going to the store 10 times just to buy a new laundry tower or something.

I don’t think many people bother to use cash at all.

End of day -18.25% Wonderful  It didn’t go that badly. Not really. Tomorrow would be payday. If anything is left after loan repayments and emptying Lidl, it wouldn’t be a bad option to put the rest into this. A really high-quality company with a brilliant future ahead, at an 18% discount. Damn, tax refunds only come in December.

Four-wheel alignment + two new summer tires (wrong angles have worn the edges smooth) + labor = €380 + €120 spare parts for the other car. Mortgage repayment. Bills. Lidl €300. Not much is left from a €1500 salary.

Damn it! Right now it feels like my soul is leaving my body! No buying Kongsbergs, no. Oh, if only as a little girl I had thought of some other profession than wiping grandmas’ butts.

Maybe it’ll get better. At least there’s a roof over my head. Wife. Children. Job. I don’t know.

As it turns out, Tiina was interviewed by @Iikka_Numminen, when normally Rauli handles these. At least I’m drawing my own conclusions from this  Marimekko Q3'25: Vahva tulos - Inderes

These target prices from brokerage firms are truly a complete guess for many companies. I have even noticed, for example, Goldman S (Goldman Sachs) trying to influence the share price for the benefit of their own clients. How can one give a target price for, for example, Faron F when the price is between 0 and almost infinite… most likely the probability is still close to 0,

My Nordnet portfolio reached 120,000 euros, and this was clearly the best day against the index in probably a few years.

Today, you can read @Tuulikki_Rautiainen’s interview in the “Rookie Interviews” thread.:slightly_smiling_face:

Hey. I whipped up a new post. Just some basic chatter about Handels USA. Have a good weekend, and cold frosty drinks to everyone. https://rahatojennukseen.com/esittelyssa-ikivihrea-handelsbanken-usa-indeksi-rahasto/

Greetings from Copenhagen. A lot of money is always spent on these holidays. On the other hand, the value of the portfolio might fluctuate by the amount of a net salary in a day. But it doesn’t feel the same! It’s good that money is spent, it’s not worth just rotting in a hotel. Finnish companies have also been seen here, e.g., an If advertisement, and Marimekko and Nordea stores.

P.S. Does anyone else start using products from companies they own? I myself bought Olvi during Q2. I assume that results will already start to be visible during Q4.

Did it scare you?

No, I was just amused that it’s Paavo’s time now.

Someone really had to try hard to make this a clickbait headline. In Finnish, besides Mäntyniemi, presidents are only found on the coffee shelf and in a motorcycle club.

Interesting! I think we need to send top detective Verneri Pulkkinen to investigate this in the form of Vari
