There was no mention of suspending mail delivery. Is this it?
It is oversubscribed, but it might be that such a national offering is not wanted to be interrupted prematurely, if some advertising campaign, for example, has been agreed to last until tomorrow. It would look strange to advertise the offering in some newspaper tomorrow, and one couldnât even participate in it.
A good tech stock always has some kind of scam going on to keep the hype and the stock price high. Initially, Tesla was supposed to conquer the world with a âjust about to be releasedâ peopleâs electric car, made cheaper than anyone else with fully automated factories. Well, nothing came of that, but then we got âjust about to hit the marketâ self-driving cars, which never worked. But luckily, the Dojo supercomputer remained, from which a permanent competitive advantage in AI was gained:
Oops, that was just an investment scam too. No way
But never mind, because luckily, the new investment scam this time is dancing remote-controlled robots, and for a while, we can collectively pretend in investor discussions that Tesla is not an electric car company losing market share with a faded brand, but a world-class market-disrupting robotics company whose TAM and thus potential is almost limitless ![]()

Court: Delaware court of Chancery
Case: 2023-0284-LWW
UWM Holdings Corporation UWMC, formerly Gores Holdings IV, agreed to pay $17.5 million to settle claims that it misled shareholders about its financial performance and underwriting practices following its 2021 SPAC merger.
This settlement presents a great opportunity for investors to recover some of their losses. Hereâs what you need to know to claim your payout.
Who is eligible?
All persons and entities who purchased, acquired, or held Gores IV Class A common stock (including shares held as part of a public unit) at any time between September 22, 2020, and January 21, 2021, inclusive.
Do you have to sell securities to be eligible?
No, if you purchased or held securities within the class period, you are eligible to participate. You can participate in the settlement and retain (or sell) your securities.
How much can you recover?
The final payout amount depends on your specific trades and the number of investors participating in the settlement.
If 100% of investors file their claims, the average payout will be $0.50 per share. Although typically only 25% of investors file claims, in this case, the average recovery will be $2.00 per share.
How long will it take to receive your payout?
The entire process usually takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline. But the exact timing depends on the court and settlement administration.
How to claim your payout â and why itâs important to act now?
The settlement will be distributed based on the number of claims filed, so submitting your claim early may increase your share of the payout.
Laitoin tÀnne ettÀ kaikki varmasti nÀkee.
Does any HuhtamÀki investor want to briefly go through their own theses for the investment case?
I have been thinking about the company for a long time, but the lack of earnings growth has always somehow made me hesitate. Is it realistic to expect the company to grow significantly from its current state and succeed in improving its earnings performance?
This probably doesnât surprise anyone anymore. But the question is: Where does this ultimately end? The junk from China wonât run out. But most of that junk is useless. Will flea markets eventually be filled with them, hoping someone will buy them? Or will they end up in the trash after a couple of uses? Oh heavens, really. Whatâs wrong with people? At the same time, my mother was taking out the
In my experience, the final destination for Chinese junk is almost always the shelf space of a Finnish brick-and-mortar store with a price tag three times higher than the original. Thus, Finnish purchasing power could at best multiply if we bought all consumer goods directly from China instead of the local Tokmanni and Prisma. The same thing happened once when alcoholic beverages were ordered as a package from Germany or Estonia, which angered the authorities.
Now merchants are playing a media game to block the Finnish consumerâs only opportunity to buy affordable consumer goods for their own use, without middlemen striking their greedy hands into the consumerâs wallet. An unfortunate situation for Finnish sellers of Chinese junk, but this is how technology companies break outdated business models whose only competitive advantage was walls created by regulation.
It would hardly multiply, because the goods bought from China are cheap per unit. It would only take up a few percent at most of a consumerâs annual shopping budget, even if bought from Finland versus China.

Verneri seems to have grabbed the headlines of the front page articles directly from my Google search history
Postiâs offering is heavily oversubscribed. Is it worth participating in the still open institutional tranche in hopes of quick profits? Will the price rise when trading begins, or did people buy this only for the bonus shares?
I liked @kunkkisâs explanation for ATH more than @Verneri_Pulkkinenâs short factual content.
I recommend flights through Skyscanner; there are other similar sites, but I personally prefer this one. It shows flights from many airlines in one place. Set your departure location as Helsinki (or wherever your trip starts), â flexible dates (it shows prices for several days, or the whole month if desired) and multiple destinations (everywhere flights depart to) â then pick cheap flights from there. I myself flew from Helsinki to Riga last summer, the one-way flight was 15e. In a couple of weeks, Iâm going to Poland, a round trip with a checked bag costs 70e. Of course, itâs worth booking in advance and visiting the site a couple of times a week. Prices fluctuate a lot, and sometimes you can get them really cheaply if youâre open about the travel dates and destination!
For accommodation, check out Airbnb. Stylish apartments that can fit a larger group are ridiculously affordable compared to hotels.
As a travel destination, I can recommend the Czech Republic. Food there is cheap, and you can get out of a restaurant for ten euros per person as long as you donât eat in the city center or tourist spots; groceries are also much cheaper than in Finland. The capital is clean, easy to navigate with public transport, and people are really friendly. Pragueâs Old Town is truly beautiful, having survived worse bombings in WWII, so thereâs a lot to see there.
Hereâs something, I hope you get something out of it!
Is that space-related? Iâve only had shares under the name UWMC, I need to check.
How should one position themselves here, when one canât even invest in Hyzon anymore?

Iâll also put this yearâs VIX chart here:
Itâs precisely these kinds of employees that are the reason why, for example, I have fled the office for remote work. Some arrogant jerk at work feels entitled to interrupt your work and escalate their task to the top of your priority list by physically marching next to you and hoping you wonât dare to shoo them away.
When working remotely, itâs easier to not answer the work phone if necessary and to prioritize tasks and inquiries coming through all communication channels into a work queue in order of importance. And if some office chatterbox gets angry about not getting immediate service, then sorry about that, youâre not the center of the world but just one small piece of a large machine ![]()
