Damn, Feki, what a forecast you threw out there
Eur/Usd soon to be 1.3???
Uncle-Masse, FA, Hold your horses Uncle-Masse ![]()
Jeez. This USD weakness is a double-edged sword, in many ways.
I ran out of gunpowder in my portfolio, and I cautiously started selling off shares from the group “unjustified corona dip, sell and invest for the longer term when it has risen enough”. The sales hit USD stocks, and the cash naturally remained in the dollar account after the trades were completed.
Now I’d like to buy EUR stocks, but it’s not worth taking them out of the dollar account when the exchange rate is so weak ![]()
Right, that must be it.
For a moment I wondered why they were so timid when they were selling 1.5% stakes from their positions ![]()
Here’s the original text from Inderes:
“We slightly reduced our holdings in Inderes’ Model Portfolio’s star pupils, selling small stakes of about 1.5% in Remedy, Revenio, and Talenom.”
I’ve also been thinking whether I dare to try it, but as soon as I put shorts on fire, I’m sure to get burned. I don’t dare to fight against the market.
Can Tesla’s current price be considered reasonable from a fundamental perspective by any measure? Isn’t a P/E of 1250 or a P/S of 20, especially for a company of that size, against common sense?
PS. First conversation continued to another thread, no idea how this works.
Reason has already left the building with Tesla weeks ago. Hype-mania-bubble in full swing. It could drop by half and still be expensive fundamentally, or it could double again because… I don’t know why, but…
Tesla’s stock is in a so-called positive liquidity spiral
The rise attracts more buyers and money, which in turn attracts more… And when it grows big enough in the indexes, funds (whose managers are stressing about the current quarter’s performance and their own bonuses) are forced to buy so they don’t fall too far behind the benchmark index.
Until one beautiful day everyone sees that the emperor has no clothes, and then there’s a rush for the door…
My answer to Tesla mania is:
This is a bit tongue-in-cheek, so better to vote in the coffee room instead of the company thread ![]()
E: Pre-market already saw prices of 530+ ![]()

Not a bad guess, but I won’t confess ![]()
But I’ve started moving from the crazy short-term investments that started with Corona to longer-term investments. For me, that means throwing out stocks from my portfolio that require monitoring, and I don’t trust Tesla’s valuation enough to dare not watch it. So no thanks for me.
My gambling money is still tied up in oil turbos, although the plan is to cash them out during the fall (contango eats into profits, the price rises but turbos stay put). Maybe a small slice of that into a Tesla short, if the price is still at insane levels ![]()
Similar plan. Summer was pretty crazy, retail-driven I saw huge gains, but I haven’t really known what to do with tech stocks. Now it feels like it’s just endless messing around with high-volume stocks, and I can’t be bothered with it.
I’m here telling myself to stick to the plan. I’d love to ditch the Wärre and go on an adventure. But that would probably just end badly (maybe).
LeadDesk has been on my mind, but I haven’t been following it since early April when a long-winded writer, who constantly changes their username, mentioned two companies in their initial blog post, in addition to their market economy rant: Remedy and LeadDesk. Both have roughly doubled since then. I should have taken a closer look at LeadDesk back then, or even last week. I just should have.
The announcement for that came out last week. ![]()
Hopefully, my 14.8 purchase from the earnings report didn’t have an effect. It was nice to get a good earnings report with a -10% discount, although I should have bought it during the corona slump.
That’s what we’re trying to do, desperately.
When I switched from indexes to stocks, I divided them into three groups. My portfolio now includes:
I don’t know if the plan is any good, but I’m trying to follow it, at least roughly.
Hey. My post about pondering the Impact Coatings stock drop and returning to work after lightening my positions was flagged and removed. I had put it in the energy thread. So, where would such discussions fit?
I’m asking because it was removed, and I did realize that it had been asked about in the technical analysis thread 3 days ago… So maybe that’s why the moderation removed it?
What would be the right place to discuss buying and selling such volatile stocks? I wondered about the rise to the 40 level and lightened some of my positions then, and now I’ve been following the drop below 20 and it’s starting to interest me again.
This is a bit different from owning Sampo, and last time in the Fuelcell thread, there was a similar discussion going on when there was a lot of flagging…
I probably can’t open a new thread myself, as I’m at the “challenger” level, or can I?
What would be the title?
@viljo I removed your message for the very reason you mentioned. I thought you had gotten an answer to your question elsewhere, as you had edited that observation into your message, so the message you posted was no longer needed (because the question was answered elsewhere, and the message in question had already been flagged appropriately) ![]()
