The Oulu meetup is successfully behind us. There were 10 passionate investors present. The impression was that Hesuli and dividends are valued in Oulu. 
The quiz was won by @Addick and the stock of the evening was Lassila & Tikanoja.

People talked so much about data centers, artificial intelligence, and good stock picks, that I tried to bring balance with L&T. After all, it is literally a trash company.
Many strange terms were also discussed: EV/EBIT, CAPEX, valuation multiples, cash flow, and regarding investment properties, return on equity, among others.

PS. If any of the business ideas bounced around at the patio table somehow ends up becoming a unicorn, remember to invite me to the office opening for coffee.

You probably got the right idea. My own participation was rather short, and as is my custom, I mainly focused on listening to what others had to say. And there was a lot of it.
Thanks to @_TeemuHinkula for organizing the event and to everyone who participated for the good discussions, which perhaps only got better as the evening progressed after I had already left. Despite the small size of the group, there was a wide variety of investors.
The undersigned was probably the only participant of the evening who completed the quiz without a single correct answer. Repeat after me, if you can

Thanks for a really nice meetup to everyone and to @_TeemuHinkula for organizing it.
@Addick had a really good idea about L&T and a correction that the company’s stock price looks like it’s at “junk” level, but the company’s business has been at the same level for the last 20 years, meaning stable, quality work; only growth is missing and losses in Sweden are weighing it down.
And in Oulu, old-fashioned dividend investors, yes!

Hey, would there be any interest in the capital for some kind of “winter meet-up” during the quiet days between holidays? Even though I’m asking about it, I can say right off the bat: I won’t organize it, but I’ll gladly participate if the timing works out.

Unfortunately, I don’t have time to organize. December and January are quite busy with work. Maybe a ski break meetup sometime in the spring?
I strongly encourage someone else to organize. It only takes a couple of emails, and I’ve set the bar so low for organizing that there’s no need to be nervous

July is approaching, and with it, our annual forum meetup. At the meetup, we’ll eat, sit out on the terrace, and chat about investing with like-minded people. The venue will be Helsinki.
If you are interested in the meetup, you can vote for the date via the link below. Check all the dates that work for you. At the beginning of next week, I will see which day has received the most votes, and that will be the one.

It seems like there’s a cap of 20 in the poll, but tentatively all dates probably work for me unless some surprise trip comes up. It’s nice that you’re taking the time to organize this.

The people have spoken! The Inderes meet-up will be held on July 25th in Helsinki.
Preliminary program and schedule for the day:
- Dinner at Fat Lizard Töölö (Helsinginkatu 56) at 4:15 PM.
- Terrace session at Teerenpeli Kamppi (Olavinkatu 2) at 6:30 PM.
We are now accepting registrations! You can just show up at the terrace, but registration is required for dinner so that I can reserve enough seats. Last year, many people registered at the last minute, so I had booked a cabinet that was too small, where both the temperature and noise levels rose to suboptimal levels.
So please remember to register early so we can get the setting right! You can register either by replying to this thread or by sending me a private message. Schedules will be finalized once I have confirmed the reservations.

Dear meetup crowd, please remember to post your registrations either in this thread or via private message. I’m going on vacation for a week, after which I can book the facilities for us based on the number of participants.
Unfortunately, the date poll doesn’t count as a registration, as voting and actually showing up correlate poorly with each other
