Who talked about a knockout model? The mice were not Clever-1 (CLEVER-1) knockout mice. Only Clever-1 silenced macrophages were locally injected into the tumors. That is also not the same as targeting a surface protein, which I already stated above. But if it produces similar effects to what targeting that surface protein produces in other studies, then it is probably not a coincidence either.
