Enovix - Future battery technology

Enovix is a US-based battery technology company that develops silicon-anode lithium-ion batteries. The disruptive technology would enable higher energy density and capacity compared to competing solutions. In recent years, they have gradually progressed towards commercialization.

Interview with CEO Raj Talluri (September 10, 2025):

Are there any Enovix followers or investors here? How do you see the competitiveness of the company’s technology and the commercialization timeline?

The day before yesterday, Enovix announced a $300 million convertible bond issuance. This came as a surprise immediately after the company had just sold approximately 26.5 million warrants, raising about $232 million.

There has been speculation about whether mergers and acquisitions are imminent as growth investments. It has also been speculated in recent days whether orders might already be in hand and more production lines are coming. Previously, the company has stated that they will not order additional production lines until the production of the first line in Malaysia is maximized.

Last January 2025, Enovix already announced that it had received its first order from a leading global technology company based in Silicon Valley. The order is for a battery solution customized for Mixed Reality (MR) devices. The first deliveries are expected by mid-2025. I don’t know if the Silicon Valley company could be Meta. Perhaps something could even become clear next week, as the Meta Connect 2025 event is next Wednesday, September 17, 2025. According to rumors, this will be a big event, especially for the future of smart glasses.

In addition, an interesting observation is that Enovix’s 10-K document previously stated: “In addition, one of our customers has exclusive rights to purchase our batteries for use in the augmented reality and virtual reality space through 2024, which could limit our ability to sell batteries to other customers and grow our business in such space.” Also, it’s worth noting that Enovix’s Chief Business Officer, Samira Naraghi, previously worked at Meta.

No information was revealed on Wednesday, with Meta’s Connect event, that Enovix would be in Meta’s devices. However, a press release was already published in January, stating that a significant order had been received from a company operating in Silicon Valley.

Below are screenshots from a few analysts’ commentaries, in which quite high target prices ($100) have been mentioned

Here’s one excerpt from the earnings call about possibly hearing something at CES in a month:

We now have sampled the AI1 platform to 10 unique smartphone OEMs and ODMs, and we expect to showcase the first end product with an OEM publicly in CES 2026 in January.

Let’s also add that institutional ownership is at ATH levels:
