Writes about IHC, which stands for immunohistochemistry—a staining method that helps identify specific tissue characteristics—and CDx is companion diagnostics, i.e., a test used to identify, for example, patients for whom a specific drug is suitable. It is, for instance, a function needed by a pharmaceutical company to reach the market, and there would be an opportunity for Aiforia’s expertise here too. IHC-CDx combines these. Agilent, which just signed the agreement, is an IHC specialist. Proscia has the platform, and Aiforia has the models. These deals don’t say anything directly about Aiforia yet, but they hint at the direction of development.
